Starks and Clark Kent were challenged by Nike Sportswear’s Design Director Jesse Leyva to collaborate and create a pack that pays homage to the spirit of competitive sport and this year’s host city - Phoenix, Arizona.
Starks initiates the design partnership by creating reflective and patterned lace packs, contrasting metal anglets, engraved Dubraes, and East/West branded insoles to represent the rivalries. “The Arizona desert was our main inspiration so we used oxidized copper on the anglets and dubraes to get that rustic worn out feel like they were sitting under the hot Arizona sun for years†says Starks.
With the Phoenix Suns team colors in mind, Clark Kent’s unique touch brings premium leathers such as patent, nubuck, and the pebbled leather of a basketball, while Starks reminds us all why they are still the leaders in the lace game with 3M, purple star patterned and checkerboard laces. Both makeups of the All Star Game 2009 Air Force Ones are available now in stores.

ya’ll dont understand how dope the black pair is. with the perforated feel on the back. it feels just like a basketball. clark kent is crazy!!! he’s my designer of the year off the strength of the 112 pack, black fridays and now these. i hit him up yesterday on sneakerplay and he hit me back asking me which pair i like the most and some other stuff. dude is real cool.

I just copped the black ones there is only one store here in phoenix that has both pair and its “highpoint” the black ones is way more better in person and they are fire

#8 - I dont think there is a east/west version. each shoe has east on right, west on left. on insole and lacelock.

I think the east version are better then the west the black with all the colors doesnt look good.

I have always liked black shoes better than white ones but that is definately not the case with these. I love the orange midsole on the white ones and the 09 stitched on the side. If the black ones had the orange midsole with 09 on them they would be just as great.
