Posted by Matt Halfhill | Feb 2, 2009 Not surprisingly the Eggplant Foamposites have had zero problems selling in stores where they have started arriving for the past two weeks. If you are not amongst the fortunate group to have been able to get a pair, your luck has not fully run out. Due to the incredible demand for this sneaker, Footaction has set a nationwide release date of February 5th for $200.

i copped mine yesterday 34th st footaction number 24/96 pairs, i found out earlier today that house of hoops in harlem released dem dis morning with a HUGEEEEEEEE line and they had a whopping 400 pairs…. if you aint cop dem yet, give up unless you tryna drop 300+

WoW very nice shoe got me a pair from footaction and paid $208 I was the 5th one in line and the was 80 people sucks to be number 37, 38, 39 and so on because they only have 36 pairs LOL New York where you at?

These foams run .5 sz smaller b/c of the sock inside the shoe. I got mine from DTLR in ATL yesterday morning and I was the only customer in the store at 10:10AM. I wear a 10.5 but had to get an 11. I compared them to my blk/blk foams which are a 10.5 (the ones that were released in 2002) and they’re the same size physically. They were like 212.00 after taxes. Good luck to anyone who hasn’t got a pair yet. When are the Penny 1/2 Cents coming out?

By the way… does the recession effect the sneaker buyer??? I mean foamposities for 200? I have to admit though, I have seen this sneaker 3 times already last week and once this week.
Other expensive sneakers over the past few months were no were to be found (even though the eBayers bought them up and many of those sneaker were sold out… but no one was wearing them so what does that mean? eBayers!!!!)

I have seen these in person, and I have to admit that they look pretty alright. Its a sort of dark purple so you can wear dark jeans with them and they don’t have to be purple.
I went from wanting/not wanting/wanting these sneakers. If Nike made the black and light green transparent like they were supposed to back in 2008, then I would have gotten those and not these… but I always wanted these foamposites so I am left with these…

Now I wish I got the original eggplants… Gawd I just don’t know what to do… plus it hurts that I will probably not wear them very much…

Foamposite shoes are good for on court but off court, style wise, they are about as attractive as a pair of Crocs. Also lets not forget after a couple months down the line the clear sole is going to turn an ugly yellow color.

So, hopefully the Fusion craze and Six Rings, etc., will keep people off of them for a while.
I’ve actually seen a few sites that have lots of sizes, as low as $250, IF I have to go that route.

These shoes are WELL worth the 200 price tag for a few reasons. The resale value will be tremendous and Nike knows this. Also, this is one of, if not the most durable shoe I’ve ever had. I use my all black foams a million times since the first day I got’em and they still look like I just got them. These babies are tanks and I will be up at 7 am to buy these on Thursday.

this is sooooooo effin GAY!!! i live in north carolina and all the stores down here said either they don’t know or “what da hell are those” so i went on line and ordered the silver/black foamposite pro and two days later the bytch at footaction said they would get them. um soooooooo effin pissed!!! um callin footaction corporate cuz this is rediculous
