Nike Hypermax “Air Max2 CB Poster”
Posted by George Kiel III | Feb 17, 2009 Unless you have been living under a rock, we all know that the Nike Hyperdunk to the basketball world by storm within the last year. It will go down as one of the better Nike basketball sneakers ever created. However, can Nike do it again this year with the latest sneaker in its “Hyper” series.
Photos of the Nike Hypermax, said to be the “big man version” of the Hyperdunk, are now starting to surface on the web. Similar to its sister sneaker, the Hypermax also possesses Flywire on the side panels. It also contains full length Air Max Air Unit for added cushioning. This particular colorway is supposedly inspired by the Nike Air Max2 CB poster which surface in the 90s. A picture of the photo appears on the insole of this sneaker. It has not been stated whether or not this exact colorway will release. Will the Nike Hypermax have the same effect on basketball footwear as the infamous Hyperdunk? Via Marquee Sole. |

aww man, it jus looks like nike loved the hyperdunk phenom and they sketched somethin that’s kinda like it jus to make a few extra bucks. n the arch in the sole looks like playdoh
Feb 18, 2009 at 2:05 pm

Feb 17, 2009 at 8:13 pm

Feb 17, 2009 at 7:39 pm
Not feelin the strap or the reverse side of the shoe though. With the Air Max, I’m guessing these will run extra dough seeing how the hyperdunks are already like 120

Just looking at this shoe makes me want to dunk on someone then slap the backboard afterward.
Feb 17, 2009 at 7:27 pm
Nike forced the whole hyperdunk theme .
they took it way too far imo .

I like these way better than the hyperdunks && the strap looks removeable. good sh*t nike..
Feb 17, 2009 at 6:48 pm
These sneakers are tight, I MIGHT cop (which shocks me even more b/c i’m usually drawn to retro type sneakers)
Feb 17, 2009 at 6:42 pm
this is an awful shoe - you guys are retarded
Feb 17, 2009 at 5:39 pm
the inner half of the shoe looks kinda ugly, almost looks like a whole different shoe than the outer half
Feb 17, 2009 at 5:10 pm
only Nike can tell you if they’ll be as big as the Hyperdunk, cuz they straight flooded the market with colorways
Feb 17, 2009 at 4:32 pm
well done Nike. Fire for ballin and for rockin casually. Looks like a modernized late ’90s design.
Feb 17, 2009 at 4:14 pm
I think they should have kept the inside of the shoe the same like on the hyperdunk
Feb 17, 2009 at 4:00 pm
I can’t wait for the Hypermax to drop.
I actually like them more than the Hyperdunk.
All due to the full length air unit!
YES!

Feb 17, 2009 at 3:51 pm

Feb 17, 2009 at 3:12 pm
swagtastic!
Feb 17, 2009 at 3:07 pm
Not sure I’m feeling the strap - could just be the coloring on this sample. Otherwise, I imainge it’s not a bad basketball shoe - sole technology looks different at the arch, though.
Feb 17, 2009 at 3:04 pm
Good concept, terrible colorway!
Feb 17, 2009 at 2:51 pm
with better colors these could be the next big thing
Feb 17, 2009 at 2:50 pm
These are really nice except for that goofy looking strap, I think the couldve done a better job on that.
