HOH “Screwed Up” the Nike Vandal
Posted by George Kiel III | Feb 6, 2009 Nike and Foot Locker are giving a shout out to the four cities that are home to the House of Hoops with the “For the Love of the City†Pack. NYC, LA, and Chicago are getting their due, but the shoe we are most excited for are the “Screwed Up” Nike Vandals.
These classic kicks feature a dripping wet, purple “candy” upper with a little spillage onto the midsole paying some tribute to the practice of swangin’ and swervin’ while pourin something of your choice. It also contains a chrome-like material on the swoosh in reference to the candy on chrome craze in Houston. Can you imagine swangin’ a big body dripped up and draped out in purple candy paint, then stepping out in these? This sneaker will release at the grand opening of the House of Hoops in Houston, Texas on February 21st, 2009. Translation of # 14…..
This is a cool shoe. Some shoes that were designed after promethazine. What do you guys know about this syrup? I’m overjoyed because I love Texas. Houston should be proud. They could have been better though because they look plain in the back…they could have put an RIP Pimp C or DJ Screw on there and I would have definitely purchased these. Thank you Nike for these hot shoes and maybe they will make more nice shoes with Texas in mind and not just Houston and Dallas because Texas is the largest state. And everyone here purchases Nikes and Jordans especially myself. Nike should offer me a job because I have a college education. My nickname is “Young Mot” and I’m from Killeen, TX. R.I.P. to my friend Lonestar and Pimp C as well.

they coulda did better than this…looks like a weak bite on the Krink forces. not to mention I wouldnt think Nike supported “the purple”. I’d be kinda insulted if I was from Houston, but Im not so what do I know?

yeah these are the only vandals I’ve ever liked Nike’s and Houston rap seem to go together very nicely
love them big bodied blue deville swanga’s but with them spokes but I’ll probably be swangin an orange 72 impala on 26’s with 4 square 15’s in the trunk
