Posted by Nick Engvall | Mar 19, 2009 The Air Jordan 5 is making a major comeback this year with a slew of colorways. We recently showed you earlier pictures of the white patent Air Jordan 5.
The Air Jordan 5 White Patent/Dark Army colorway that will hit retailers will actually have a few minor changes. The most noticeable difference is the stitching around the upper which has changed from white to dark army. The inner liner has a been switched up in favor of a more colorful graphics infused choice. Finally the front portion of the sole has changed from clear to orange. What do you think about these changes? Available now at MarqueeSole for $280. |

the kicks are all bad, The shoulda kept the original color up on these. They added dark stitchin and turned the bottom pee yellow. These shoes are Flavor flav ugly!

These look horrible… Seriously, don’t try to justify it with what you could or would wear with them, this is just another example of Jordan Brand thinking we’re all idiots, they can skeet skeet anything off the drawing table and we the consumer will throw our dough at it en masse..
Didn’t Gentry Humphrey say sometime last year that the Collezione packs were going to be “some of the last retros for a while, we want to keep the nostalgia and the rareness of it…” blah blah?? Now this..
I love Air Jordan.. I’m in my 30s and grew up with it. But I’m sick of it. I’ll buy the most essential retros but other than that I’m not parting with one CENT of my money for these hacks… Mike, you’re the man but fire Gentry please!

the first sample was alot better, the straight white upper without the contrast stitchin n only one part of the sole bein clear wasnt a problem.. why the change? im debatin, dnt think imma cop any more.. change it back!!! lol

I preferred the previous pics when the front outsole had the clear rubber and only the heel was orange, and when the stitching at the toe was a different colour. But I’m still getting these, (1) cuz I Love ALL 5s, (2) cuz the Patent leather looks different in a good way, and (3) cuz the overall package looks good. I can get over the orange rubber and overall the shoe is nice. I’m coppin for sure!

They went from nice to wack… all with two unnecessary additions/changes.
Why is it that these people get payed (and so much at that) to do this & they have to always go and RUIN things, without paying attention to how the consumers actually feel about previous designs on samples, etc.?
This is a prime example of why “The Brand” needs some FRESH, YOUNG and NEW people in their HQ!
Especially someone who has an ear to the streets.

I like the new colors that have been coming out. Why would you want a color that came out almost 20 years ago. I understand one would want the same color of an og shoe specially if you werent old enough to have a pair of the Originals. But back then i think the colors were more so for the BULLS team color which makes sense. Now MJ and Jb can go nuts with different colors.So i kinda agree with 33^^ it almost seems that no matter what color or type of leather the new shoes have somebodys going to hate on them.

The Air Jordan 5 Retro “Raging Bull Pack†provides two unique Air Jordan 5 Retro colorways. One version features an upper made entirely of red suede, a black midsole, hints of black on the lacing panels & inner lining, a 3M tongue, and a pair of red laces. The second version has a grey suede upper, and black accents on the lacing panels, inner lining & laces. No release date info is available right now, but some say its expected to drop May 3oth, 2009.
