Kanye West for Louis Vuitton Prices Confirmed!

Since word broke a few months ago about a sneaker project done by Kanye West and Louis Vuitton info was scarce and kept under wraps. Photos finally surfaced of (most) of the lineup recently, but pricing has still been a bit of a mystery and a guessing game - until now. Late last night, a Nice Kicks reader sent us information about the upcoming Kanye West x Louis Vuitton shoes including the prices and the names of each model. The men’s collection consists of three models, the Louis Vuitton Don’s (most likely named after Ye, but also could be a shout to Don C, his manager), Jasper’s (named after Kanye’s barber), and the Mr. Hudson’s (named after the GOOD Music artist and 808 collaborator of the same name). I’d rather get like four pair of jordans, then one of those…. but i dont think the don’s and jaspers are ugly, they really have a good quality, and probably thats why is so expensive….. That top 5% of the population that you are talking about could give 2 sh!ts about Kanye West. So either Kanye West and Louis Vuitton are marketing to the Hip Hop community or they are marketing to 60 year old white men, either way, nobody is coping them.
They are overpriced and look like a cross between a Fila and a Nike Dunk, both of which are a fraction of the cost.
Long story short, Kanye lost his fu(king Mind. So has Jbiz,/Bobby V. The young calf that the leather came from only runs about $100-$150. I could buy 3 live calves and 1/2 a troy of gold for that amount. In no way are those shoe “worth the price”.

I got a pair of the Mr.Hudson in the grey and brown leather patchwork with flourescent pink outsole’s and the Punchy sneaker boots in cocoa. The shoe’s are amazing and worth the price. Im an avid Louis vuitton buyer and they are reasonbly priced compared to past sneaker lines by the fashion house Louis Vuitton makes high quality shoes the sneakers you’ll are complaining about are made of 100% calf leather. The pink bottom Jasper’s and Mr.Hudson’s have 14k gold engraved arrangments on the string tassle that say Kanye west.. You have to see them up close and in person to understand the true quality and sophistication of these sneakers.

These sneakers are hot and well worth the price i just bought the street sneaker from LV last week those cost me 620. plus tax and sunglasses cost another 650. i actually expected the Lv Dons to be around 1200. these sneakers are design for people that love sneakers, LV and have money to spend not people who try to compare Jordans to LV sneakers.

Those shoes look like $h!t. I have the money and I will not buy. Louis Vuitton are not much higher in quality than Nike if at all. I have plenty of both and seriously, LVs are priced the way they are because of the name, not because of the quality. For those among the selected few who do understand retail merchandising I appreciate the appropriate commentary regarding the sneaker. For those who do not understand the world of merchandising should take a walk down memory lane back to 2002, when the Nike Air Jordan 17 was released. This model was the 1st pair of the Air Jordan line to be released retailing over $200, fans flipped out saying “what ever happened to $150?” Trust me a $50 increase made a very large difference including tax when you’re a high school or college student! Louis Vuitton, not Kanye dictates the cost of the sneaker, it’s a prestigious brand in itself that has to stand out amongst the typical Nike, Reebok, Puma etc. athletic brands, b/c it is a designer label, period! I’m not talking Even when he collaborated with Nike for the $215 Air Yeezy’s folks complained that was too much money, but you would instantly without hesitation purchase the latest Jordan brand sneaker for the same cost. Lets be honest how many of his sneakers can or should rather actually be worn off the court? Not to mention 80% of all the proceeds from the sales of those sneakers when you a youth foundation. So look at it this way, at least the high price tag contributed to a greater cause, even if 50 Cents sneaker was only $85 at the time of its release I doubt any proceeds went to any organization!

Louis Vuitton is an expensive brand. Point, blank, period. Yes we are in a recession and this in turn makes purchasing these sneakers for middle and low class citizens hard as hell. But the prices are set for people who love Kanye, love Louis Vuitton, and can throw out the paper for them. I personally love the shoe. I would sport any of them ESPECIALLY the Jasper’s (Brown, Gray, Pink). I doubt I’ll actually take any action and buy them with that price being a tad out of my price range. (I could buy them but then I’d be broke). But to those who are saying the shoe is ugly or its too expensive, the shoe was made for people who like them and are willing and able to buy them. I’m not hurtin for money to me the shoes are hot. If you got Blazer Supreme they about 775 right now depending on where you go. People who are complaining have never bought a pair of Feragamos, Louis V boots, even some of the classics DMP pack go for 900 to 1000 and they always in demand. I appreciate some of the things Kanye does musically and dislike some of the things he does but I honestly am trying to judge the shoes without attaching him to them to be fair. I’m a regular guy that has a good job and I honestly have more Gucci than Nike (just my pref). I really don’t care for these though. I mean for the money I would rather invest in a pair of Rick Owens’ or Lanvin’s. I’m really not a LV fan, I think they are bulky, uncomfortable, and boring design-wise. I think it was a great idea to involve Kanye in designing a shoe for LV. LV has always be considered overpriced and honestly a line geared more towards women. Attaching Kanye should’ve put some youth into their stiff reputation. But I dont get the price point, its obvious LV is trying to market these to people that are “hypebeast” but the price point is that of a more conservative nature or ppl that really understand what they are paying for. I just dont see anyone that understands what kind of price point that is to invest. I know they will sell out first day because there are a lot of misinformed “dickriders” that will buy just because the average person can’t afford, but my thing is just for the money there are so many more high end options that are better. I have been reading ppl say “Everyone knows LV is expensive”, I know that, I mean they change 600 for loafers, but I just think if you changing 8 to 1200 dollars u gotta stretch the realms of what it is that you regularly produce.
