Lance Armstrong x Nike “Stages” Collection
Posted by Nick Engvall | Mar 9, 2009 It’s no secret, Lance Armstrong has a passion for art, as well as fighting cancer. Now, Nike and Lance Armstrong have teamed up to launch a global art exhibition that creates a new way to support the Lance Armstrong Foundation and its LIVESTRONGâ„¢ Global Cancer Campaign. Lance and Nike CEO, Mark Parker, held an event this weekend in Los Angeles to announce the project, which included a 2-mile ride that ended at the Montalbán Theater.
Lance Armstrong x Nike “Stages” Collection brings together nearly 20 of the world’s most creative artists, including Shepard Fairey, Geoff McFetridge, Barry McGee and more, to create original works of art inspired by Armstrong in hopes to raise more awareness for the Lance Armstrong Foundation’s fight against cancer. Artists participating in the “Stages†tour include: Shepard Fairey, Tom Sachs, Geoff McFetridge, Raymond Pettibon, José Parlá, Ed Ruscha, Kaws, Christopher Wool, Dzine, Eric White, Barry McGee, Kenny Scharf, Os Gêmeos, Marc Newson, Rosson Crow, Taryn Simon, JR, Yoshitomo Nara, Suejin Chung, Lari Pittman, Aaron Young and Jules de Balincourt.

The dunks are cool… I’m more feelin the airmax 1’s and the airmax 90’s… But hands down my fav thing about the livestrong collection are the jackets, i would buy both!
