Earlier today, we showed you the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Black/Red, and the majority of those who commented stated that it did not hold a torch up to the ‘Fresh Water’ colorway. In addition, we have now spotted an all-black colorway of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1. Is this basic colorway better than the ‘Fresh Water’? Set to release during the 2009 holiday season, this sneakers contains a 100% black leather base. Personal Ken Griffey Jr. details appear on the lateral collar (jersey number) and on the sole (flaming baseball design). If you recall, Nike has applied this “triple black” effect to previous sneakers such as the Nike Zoom LeBron VI and the Nike Air Penny II. Via Footlocker. |

These are hard!! I got the freshwaters and blue volts. These are definetly going with my collection! Everybody is hatin on these, it’s probably cuz they weren’t able to get the OG colorways but don’t hate these are HOT! They classy and flashy, you can rock these to go out somewere upscale and be looking fresh with safistication and still be wearing griffs. I wasn’t feeling the blk/wht/red colorway way though, had it been RED it would have been fire, but that crap looks hot pink!?!? What’s up with that?? And PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE release the air griffey max 2!!!! Those are soooo freshhhh!!!!

Iz y’all crazy any color of tha griffey’s is great I’m. Just thankful they retroed these classics I copped tha O.G.’s wit tha authentic Griffey mariners jersey I’m fresh!!!!!!

^ I agree they are straight. This colorway just doesnt fit the Griffeys at all. I would cop the black and reds before these. Maybe if I saw them for half price i may consider. Nothing beats the OG colorway though.
