Posted by Nick Engvall | Mar 13, 2009 Kanye has apparently started sending out his Nike Air Yeezy to his homies, maybe because they don’t want to fork over the big bucks for those Louis Vuitton’s? The rest of us looking forward to these kicks will have to wait until April to get our hands on this colorway.
This colorup of the Nike Air Yeezy seems to be meeting mixed reviews, but also growing on people, at least here at Nice Kicks. The “Y” print across the strap and around the toebox is most definitely a unique look. The combination of grey and the peach colored inner liner is a combo not usually seen on many kicks, which is fitting for the Yeezy which is also a truly uncommon silhouette. Yeah some of you are right, who the hell wears the box, BUT for the price range of $300, not only in todays economy but the target market, the consumer will be expecting something somewhat flashy. last pair of nikes i bought were the air terra humaras in gray and they came in the same box, they cost $95!

Mask, not true, just because something is hyped doesn’t mean it is hot in any aspect. It just means it’s been pushed.
And I agree with you about Jordans being hyped, only a few of them are well designed in my opinion, and none of them even come into a top 10 list of shoes I’d make.

Sneaker-Rico, I agree, these look much nicer than the previous 3 theyve shown, But last november they showed a black pair w/perforated tongue and strap, the strap did not have this same design(watever it is,) on it. are those the ones your talkin about that are coming out in may? by the way i hear the shoes are gonna cost in the range of higher $200- lower $300. It better not come in that box!!

^^^^Special box does not mean more money. Do u remember when they dropped the Bloody Sunday sb’s they came in a differnt box and retailed at the regular price. And I’m sure other kicks have as well so that does not mean more money. There already charging like 215+ so I’m sure they could throw a better box in for free. The detailed pics make them look better but, I’m sill not really feeling this colorway. I like the black joints that are supposed to drop on May now I think. But I’m still upset a out the colors Nike decided to release since there were so many nice colorways we saw all throughout last year. But maybe this is just to get us going and then they will drop the better stuff later this year. But I agree about that box, I hate it I hope they change it in the future. Maybe for a special limited release they will.
