Lakai Eric Koston Hi

One of the most shocking events in the skate world over the last few months was the announcement that Eric Koston would be leaving Lakai to join an unnamed footwear company. Lakai had recently been releasing classics, including the Koston Signature. However, with Koston departing, the plans for this high top version of the Koston Signature model have now been scrapped. Originally the Lakai Eric Koston Hi was set to drop in three colors as part of the Fall/Winter line up. Unfortunately with Eric moving on these kicks won’t see the light of day. With fresh colorways and a timeless skate sneaker revamped with a little extra ankle height, these could have definitely been a dope skate shoe. Click here to check out all three colorways. |

He will be on axion, its gotta be! look at all the clothing hes wearing especially when he did the last “press conference” for leaving lakai, all fourstar!! who owns/owns the rights to axion footwear, guess who fourstar! So, its gotta be! lol

Koston owns the design of this shoe (at least the lo-top) so where ever he goes we might see it re-surface. At least I hope we do, because I’ve wanted a pair of the red ones since I first saw them in January!

koston’s a dope thrasher and these shoes are nice. but, skate shoes usually don’t look as good in person.

Lakai brought this shoe back in response to Emerica re-releasing the original Marc Johnson 1. Since Marc is now on Lakai, those guys thought bringing this shoe back under the Lakai name would be sort of a shot back at Emerica( Emerica, Es, and Etnies all being under Sole Tech Dist.)
No, Eric will not be on Axion. As far as Axion goes, Kareem is currently NOT involved as of yet.

i heard that he is leaning towards joining nike sb but yeah the first kostons on Es were an amazing skate shoe and i was looking forward to these dammit

that undisclosed name might be AXION footwear since they are set to coming back, cus Kareem Campell is a dope ass skater him and Erick Koston would be the start of the skate dream team

Erick Koston used to be with ES, these are a remake of his ES 1’s his first signature shoe, hes with Lakai now, thought he would bring back his first signature shoe with a different brand, cus all his hommies are with lakai now, but not a bad looking shoe, would love to have the ES version though, gotta have the OG’s, its like if jordan were to go to addidas and re=make the jordan 1’s but under addidas that would be a no go

Are Lakai and ES under the same ownership? They look a lot like the classic Koston’s from way back in the day. It was ES right? Or was it Emerica? It’s been too long since my skateboarding days.

not bad but i wouldnt rock them but i think erik koston is a dope skater!
