On April 4th, 2009, the New Balance MT576S BAMBOO RAKE, featuring a glow-in-the-dark attribute, released exclusively at Mita. In addition, we have now spotted the grey colorway of the three-team collaboration design. This particular sneaker is the product of a collaboration between New Balance, Mita and creative collective FRAT. It combines the 576 upper and the midsole of the infamous MT580. Other unique feature include an imprinted Shi-mei-nawa rope design and a bamboo rake motif on the tongue. Supposedly, this motif represents good fortune. You can pick this sneaker up now at Samurai. Straight fire. Too bad these are only sold in Japan and not in size US 13 (31cm). Yet another artificially scarce product I won’t be spending money on. Well played, New Balance.
