Nike Hypermax McFly and Tennis Ball Colorways
Posted by Nick Engvall | May 10, 2009 Last year the McFly Hyperdunk cash in at Hype-R-Us superstore. Today it looks as if Nike is headed back to the future, to do it again with a couple of new makeups of the Nike Hypermax.
The Nike Hypermax McFly and Nike Hypermax Tennis Ball colorways recently surfaced on the web. No info on a release date of any kind, but if these release you can bet they will be limited. An interesting approach with these two makeups is the lack of Flywire, which is an integral part of the Hypermax silhouette. The Swoosh has also been stitched on, also unique to these two colorways. The McFly version is made up of satin material, while the Tennis Ball version is done up in the same fuzzy tennis Click here for more photos. |

why is everyone saying these”mcfly” Hpermax look more like the real Mcfly than the Hyperdunk. NO they dont, Nike designed the Hyperdunk fom the jump, to look like The Nike Air Mags(Mcflys), these are ok but the Hyperdunks are in another league. now the tennis ball joints on the other hand, but they only samples, with no release in the near future

these actually look pretty nice

J From Md… - That’s not “red”… what the hell is wrong with your eyes/monitor?
May 11, 2009 at 10:21 pm
fdhdh - No the hell they don’t.

The McFly colorway on the Hypermax is wack juice. Hyperdunk FTW!!
The Tennis Ball joints are outsdhining those, all because it’s tennis related, on a basketball sneaker.
Hardbody!
May 11, 2009 at 9:58 pm
those McFly ones are pretty sick. what’s the pricetag though?
May 11, 2009 at 6:34 pm
you know what beats hyperdunk mcflys? hypermax mcfly they look more like the actual kicks.
May 11, 2009 at 4:51 pm
im kindaa diggin em!
May 11, 2009 at 4:47 pm
both are heaters
May 11, 2009 at 4:11 pm
Hyperdunks are waaay better for that colorway.
May 11, 2009 at 3:31 pm
what’s the point of the red on the McFlys!?!?
May 11, 2009 at 11:29 am
Im all over the Tennis Ball ones when they drop…Would be a perfect combo for tennis ball like fitteds by The Hundreds and Alife….Btw, i think the material is sort of like felt…atleast thats what i would call it..
May 11, 2009 at 11:19 am
these are dope.. I want both.
May 11, 2009 at 11:17 am
I like both. I just seen on usda2day.com a pair of “McFly” Hypermax wit da FLYWIRE on it. They look ok, but not as good as this pair.
May 11, 2009 at 10:56 am
according to nike, the hypermax does use flywire and the white men can’t jump versions are better, but the aeshetic of the mcfly’s are more appealing. if i were to get any it would probably be those. hopefully nike can’t bring the focus back to actual sports inspired kicks rather than lifestyle kicks. these, unlike most basketball shoes actually work well on court and at the club.
May 11, 2009 at 9:47 am
I like the tennis ball jumpoffs. In my own opinion, they are better than the McFly’s.
May 11, 2009 at 9:00 am
Wow Dey Actually heard me out lol , at least i’ll be geting my pairs free lol
May 11, 2009 at 7:30 am
yeah right, them tennis ball joints is nasty. i have not seen an ugly color of the hypermax yet. I personnally dont like they way da kid got his straps to the back, but errybody got they own image when it comes to kicks.
May 11, 2009 at 6:31 am
^^^ lol
May 11, 2009 at 3:25 am
That tennisball look is naff- Didn’t work on the Reebok’s, didn’t work on the Airwalk- Jim Tennis’, and clearly doesn’t work here. What’s that? You mean this idea has been used before?! No! And as for the ‘McFly’? Seriously how do I get to be a designer at Nike- ‘cos it seems like the easiest job in the world: “What did we release 6 months ago? Hey let’s just do that again!” Enjoy the queueing but I’ll be passing.

(to #1) when does the next yeezy drop? just like his last album…. who cares!
May 10, 2009 at 7:17 pm
They hypermax mcflys looks more like the actual mcflys than the hyperdunks. And they They don’t have flywire because Nike knows people will not ball in them, just created for the hype.
May 10, 2009 at 7:16 pm
those mcflys are frsh
im feeling the ones up top
May 10, 2009 at 7:02 pm
WHAT is the point of Hypermax without Flywire? Lost all legitimacy. This shoe screams “hypebeast”. Put the Flywire back in and I’ll reconsider.
May 10, 2009 at 7:01 pm
there both “off the chain”
May 10, 2009 at 6:59 pm
