Nike Total Max Uptempo Black/Volt

Nike is set to retro a number of classic basketball sneakers such as the Nike Shox BB4 which we showed you at the end of March. In addition, Nike will also re-release the infamous Nike Total Max Uptempo. First off, this classic will drop some time in July. It contains a mainly black base made up of nubuck (toe box, lacing tab) and leather (side panels). This shoe also possesses volt-colored accents in the form of the swoosh and the full length Air sole unit. If you recall, this model was worn consistently by Tim Duncan when he was with Nike. As stated earlier, look for this Nike Total Max Uptempo Black/Volt to hit retailers in July for $160. Click here to view detailed photos. |

I still got these somewhere in my closet. I love these joints!! Yea I remember dropping $160 for them back in the day, then ran around the mall for a shirt to match. The memories… Definitely worth the price, IMO.

I think I had a pair of white and blue version of these. One of my favorite shoes ever! Is this the right model? Anyone know. At the time I thought Reggie Miller was rockin them but i was a youngster so my info might not be correct. If so, I cant wait til those drop. Been waiting plenty of years for them.

These are sweet shoes, looks identical to the OGs! A must have, gotta start another job just to pay for all these shoes this year. Next year will be even bigger with Jordan Brand’s 25th Anniversary!

I remember Timmy D’s days on the nike roster he needs to come up out of them adidas and come back to the swoosh because i know NONE of those adidas Timmy editions are even close to his nike sneakers.

Had these back in high school when they first came out…And the funny thing is that i think these were $160 back in the day as well…NIKE if you are listening and reading bring out the Jerry Rice ubiquitous that have never been retroed….

its about time nike started retroing classics Flightposite, pearl foams, total foams coming out later this year, pippens penny s omg wtf 08-09 best years for nike for sure now if jordan brand cant take damn notes although i am pleased about confirmed true blues with pics just waiting for cement 4s to pop up and 94 air jordan 1 and some infrared and i might forgive jb for the genocide towards the shoes

Nike is doing one hell of a job w these retros this year…aside from the air bubbles these and the griffeys look exactly like the originals as far as materials and quality. These’ll be hard for me to pass up.

How bout we all let Tim Duncan wear them, maybe it will help the spurs get back to the finals. LOL just joking, the shoe is nice, the volt deffinitely make them pop. I say we shud all get them so we can have look the same walkin down the street.

I remember these…they came in silver and black…They were OD heavy…balled in them, and the cushion was like playing on pillows! Ill stick with 09 releases for ball..

I loved these sneakers so much because one of my favorite players (Reggie Miller) was wearing them for a short time while he was on the Pacers. I will be on the hunt for these, heh.

i remember my best friend andrew williams(gidatme homie!) had these in 6th grade when we were in Nolan Middle School. I remember after a few altercations we had to start carrying our sneakers in our duffle bags so that we wouldn’t get ganked for ‘em. tim duncan rocked the black and silver joints. i think that was the year of the nba lockout. no allstar game and the finals between new york and san antonio actually pretty decent. oh the nostalgia.
