Star Trek x Staple x Airwalk 1.0 features the Star Trek “Shield” logo in the form of a lacetag. The release date can be seen stitched into the heel area to commemorate the launch of the movie, as well as the kicks. These details, and a foil-esque finish should make for a good number of trekkies-turned-sneaker-geeks lined up, and be good for our next edition of Sneaker Geeks as well. 140 pairs are going to be available at Reed Space tomorrow, May 8th. Jace Hall is kinda weird. I mean is it normal for someone to be that tall, bald, and into video games. Oh well I only mention him because his show on http://jacehall.tv this week is featuring footage from Duke Nukem Forever so it’s worth a look if you can put up with him and the Star Trek segment at the beginning.

Just got mine yesterday in the mail. These shoes are incredible. They come with a certificate of authenticity that is signed by Jeff staple the designer. Ultra detailed!!!!

These are nice to have on display somewear with all your other star trek memorabilia (not saying that I have any), but they would look horrible with any outfit hands down.

Anyone that’s been into sneakers for a long time might remember when airwalk was actually a decent company. I’d kill to get some NTS2s or Minus now.

IT’S RIDICULOUS HOW EASY IT IS FOR YOU GUYS TO SPIT SO MUCH HATE. IT’S DISGUSTING THAT YOU GUYS THUMB YOUR NOSE AT LESS EXPENSIVE SHOES OR SHOES SOLD AT PAYLESS. PRICE IS HARDLY EVER REFLECTIVE OF QUALITY. IT COST’S LESS THAN 20 BUCKS FOR NIKE TO MAKE MOST AF1′S OR AJ1′S BUT YOU GUYS SPEND 100′S ON THEM LIKE YOU’RE PROVING SOMETHING. Nice post, we’re stoked to be working with Jeff Staple on these. This is not our first venture into sci fi shoes…Neo’s boots in the Matrix were Airwalk’s, and we’re still getting requests to this day for ‘em. It’s not exactly our usual gig doing shoes for Skate, music, and the like, but still pretty fun to be involved with. Thanks for the shout out~
