Supra Skytop Green/White

The highly-anticipated Supra TK Society is set to release next Sunday, May 17th, 2009. With that said, the Supra TK Society Tour kicked off this past Friday. While on his tour, Terry Kennedy was spotted sporting the Supra Skytop Green/White which will supposedly release this Fall. It contains a 100% green leather combined with a white rubber sole. An interesting feature is the heavy perforations covering the entire base. Although many are awaiting the Skytop II, you cannot help but want more fresh Skytop colorways. |

i always thought skytops were tough. shoes you could wear and because of their high cut would always look fresh. this is not the case. after a few wears, perhaps even for skateboarding, the toungue looses shape (bends forward) if the laces arent tied to the top. also, the shoe ends up looking like a banana. say this | was the sole originally. it will end up looking like this ) if you don’t either: a. penguin walk where you dont bend your toes or b. drag your feet everywhere. skylows all day

Mike, those are purp. suede TK Societies (not a good look with the pant leg over the straps and tongue, btw). Check posts before yours if you’re wondering on a price.
Fresh Skytops, Supra goes hard as usual. As for the hypebeast/celebrity talk, it shouldn’t matter who wears what. It’s about wearing what you like, regardless of what others may think or the current “in” thing is. I think it’s bad to follow trends sometimes because that means you never SET them.
Just because Lil’ Wayne rocks something doesn’t mean it gets automatically played out or becomes a hype machine. Sure, more people start wearing it, but honestly: how many people do you see on the street rocking Supras? Hype is when you see every 2nd person on the street with a swoosh on their shoe, with some even paying more than hundreds or thousands of dollars for A PAIR OF SHOES. Unless it’s a shoe that’s limited to 24 pairs, I would NEVER pay that amount for something I’d probably keep in a display case without using it for it’s actual purpose (WALKING is what shoes were made for, were they not?).

i was at this event…those skytops were insane in person!!! purps are 130, black red purfs are 140..i copped both of them!!! as for coppin kicks and not coppin kicks because of a celebrity…look man, i aint a fan of lil wayne at all..actually i cant stand him, he gets flowed by supra now…thats fresh! but this shoe’s intent was for skaters…yall keep forgettin that!!! i rock for style but i also respect the skateboard culture to the fullest!!! i rock whats dope, not because of a celebrity!!!!westcoast stand up!!!!
