Air Jordan 6 Black/Varsity Red Retro
Posted by George Kiel III | Jun 30, 2009 Obviously, we showed you a plethora of shoes to look out for during the rest of this year (see our 24 Sneakers We’re Looking Forward to for the Rest of ‘09); however, could we be looking at the best sneaker release of 2010 without even seeing any of the other sneakers set to drop next year? That’s right folks! The Air Jordan 6 Black/Varsity Red will officially re-release in January 2010!
What makes this shoe so special you ask? If you recall, Michael Jordan won his first of six championships while wearing this particular sneaker. It is arguably one of the top 5 shoes ever according to many sneaker heads. Although this shoe originally released in 1991, it was retroed in the summer of 2000 to the surprise of many. Fast forwarding to the future, Jordan Brand will release this Air Jordan 6 Black/Varsity Red Retro in January for $150. Click here to view detailed photos.

These is a must have. Im stepping fresh come jan. 2010. what a way to bring in the new year. Anyway the sole of the shoes is white around edges and the very bottom is ice. If anyof ya’ll have the carmines you’ll see the sole is ice as well, by the way bet on it having a jumpman logo on back instead of the nike air. Jordan brand made that annoucement a couple years ago that all retro’ed jordans will have the jumpman symbol. Yes to keep the originals special to us sneaker heads.

The manager at the shop i work at had a meeting with the uk nike distributor and he ordered these and all 20 pairs have been pre-ordered already with your boy getting 2. There is a white pair coming out as well.

damn it why they couldn’t bring the original back out those 2 or 3 slightly adjustment to the AJ 6 mess the shoe up ( for those who don’t know this version of infrared will have NO CLEAR SOLE AND IT WONT HAVE THE CLEAR AIR BUBBLE OR THE INFRARED COLOR INSTEAD IT WILL HAVE VARSITY RED.) which is an downward for because I love clear sole shoes but I guess I can still cop

Good to see these are being re-released…but the changes worry me. I feel like the white sole with black air bubbles might be a let down. I’ll never get over the absence of “Nike Air” on these re-releases…however, it doesn’t look like that will ever change. But if we’re going to see OG colorways, I’d prefer it if the changes weren’t all over the frigging place. Glad I was collecting in 2000…the better of these two retros are in the closet on ice. Of course…might be fun to have a pair to play in…so these might be a must for me, regardless of the dissapointments.

i agree with f00k because if u look closely the bottom portion of the shoe is wayyyyyyyyyy different… the first thing u would notice is the white sole instead of an icy sole… also the air bubble is black instead of clear… and also these arent inra-red… they are varsity red… do the comparison… hopefully jb will correct those mistakes and stop the hype about these cus its not winning me over…
