Nike Hyperdunk “Phillipines”

It is easy to forget about the infamous Hyperdunk seeing that the Hypermax and the Hyperize models have been receiving rave reviews lately. However, just when you thought the Hyperdunk chapter had come to an end, Nike has released the Hyperdunk NFW and now this Nike Hyperdunk “Phillipines”. This particular Hyperdunk colorway draws inspiration from the multi-colored Philipino national flag. It is comprised of a blue patent leather upper with red accents in the form of the flywire design, the shoelaces and the midsole. The Nike Hyperdunk “Phillipines” also features a yellow speckled outsole and a white swoosh. Look for this sneaker to drop at Warped soon. hey!! i bought this pair this weekend in P.I.. it felt good..and i just want to correct you guys regarding the colors, the blue and red colors were darker.. the picture here is totally different from the real one.. thanks!

Mabuhay! It Doesn’t matter if it looks Good or Bad. What matter most is we are recognized by Nike. Instead of Critizising,You Filipinos like me should be proud we have this. Not all countries has this to represent their countries. Don’t blame other people if they mis-spelled Philippines or Filipino,It’s normal b’coz they are not 1 of us. God Bless.

Am 100% filipino.. and “PHILIPINO” national flag… it’s not spelled that way.. it’s “FILIPINO” national flag.
It’s something I don’t see myself or my husband wearing. The color is too tacky though.
Nowhere near the original colors of the flag at all. Nice try though Nike!

These are horrible!! Whats even worse is that NIke chose this mold to bring out the Marty McFlys!!!! I have never seen anyone wearing these and hope I never do.

The photos appear to be washed out and the colours may be correct - a picture is never worth 1000 words. In spite of that, the execution of this colourway is very poor.
Assuming the Philippines (note the spelling: one ‘L’ and two ‘P’s’) was the inspiration for this shoe, all the compounded mistakes just makes this shoe a giant flop. If it wasn’t the inspiration, the colourway on its own is just horrible.
Who approved this colourway? That person should be fired and tested not only for common sense and taste but for colour blindness as well. Whoever worked on this was obviously NOT filipino (again, note the spelling). Seriously Nike, if you’re going to do something, especially when it becomes cultural, please do it right.

Forreal … if you’re going to do something up for the Philippines, don’t make such a trashy colorway… The blue is not even the same blue. It’s a more of a darker navy blue; that would’ve made these look so much better. The patent leather doesn’t even give any textural addition to the sneakers, it just makes it look like it has more extra than it should. This colorway is the BAPES of the hyperdunks. This would definitely fit the fugly category.

the country’s flags colors are beautiful, and the colors on these kicks are just effing ugly. the combination is just ugly, and the shades aren’t even the proper shades of red and blue. just check the national team’s colors first. geez nike. making the country look bad.

the colors dont represent the flag at all! wrong shade of blue and red (they should be darker) and it should at least have the iconic 3 stars and a sun… whack, and aside from misspelling PHILIPPINES, we’re called either filipino or pilipino
