Air Jordan 1 White/Grand Purple Metallic

Air Jordan 1 White/Grand Purple MetallicJordan Brand is making us chase this summer. Not only will we need to hit up our foreign connects for the True Blue Air Jordan 3, but the Air Jordan 1 “Metallic Purple” is also releasing exclusively outside the USA.  This is not the first time this color has dropped, but I am willing to bet that no soul (ok, maybe 1 or 2) reading this still has a pair in tip-top, wearable shape from 1985.

Oqium in The Netherlands is currently taking pre-orders for these Air Jordans officially titled the Air Jordan 1 White/Grand Purple. Price is a little higher than AJ1’s Stateside at €119,99 (~$168US) with the weak current exchange rate. Heads up from Daily Drop.

  10. GRANDhustle

“also, 666 - we sold Jordans in my dad’s store from 1988 onwards. The first 2 didn’t get a general release in Australia, we’ve had jordans for as long as Jordans have been available… so don’t push the ‘not repping’ angle on Australia.”

Why do people misinterpret what i say so much?

Alright, i didn’t say anything about Australia. Wasn’t purposely omitting them, just when people here in the states say “across the pond” it’s normally in reference to the UK or Europe.
Also, I didn’t say these places didn’t carry them, and I didn’t say Australia didn’t carry them. I said that the euro folks weren’t into Jordan OR Nike in the 80’s. Meaning sales outside of the US were almost nonexsistant in that era.

    My apologies Sir.

    deze aint shyt

also, 666 - we sold Jordans in my dad’s store from 1988 onwards. The first 2 didn’t get a general release in Australia, we’ve had jordans for as long as Jordans have been available… so don’t push the ‘not repping’ angle on Australia.

I love that my True Blues are dropping in August. Nike needs to do this more - the number of kicks tha Jordan don’t drop in Australia is getting beyond ridiculous, so it’s nice to be able to cop some IIIs that the states won’t get… might even put em on EBAY!

  17. 666

Nike has such a brilliant marketing scheme.

Lets re-release some classic colorway, high-top cut I’s that pretty much made the footwear industry what it is today, and then give them to another market that didn’t even care for them when originally released.
No offense to any of you readers over the pond, but you know adidas was way more prevelant that Jordans in 85-86.

Instead, lets give the Jordan Brand’s most money making market (the U.S.) a sh*t ton of fusions that NOBODY FKN WANTS! Is there no logic left in this world.

  18. Larry

Yea I’m pissed abt the int’l release only. This was one of the few things Jordan brand has done right in a bit and they turn around and make em unobtainable. I’m too lazy to play this “game” anymore.

  19. russ

i like .. purple is always cool

  20. greenmaker24

    pretty nice

  21. soleman23

    WTH?!
I was waiting for this purple AJ1.
Now i know it’s gonna be outside of the U.S. it really disappointing me.

At least do we know which countries gonna get these?
Man.. I really wanna get this pair.

  22. Neezy

    Damn, I should order these…
$168 is definitely a lot more “steep” indeed vs. our AJ1, but it’s not that bad though.

    Me likey!
