The Air Jordan 12 surfaced on the web in an all white makeup, dubbed the “Rising Sun” editions. Today, we have a look at another Air Jordan 12, the “Flu Game” editions. These Black and Red Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game” editions are set to drop sometime this November. The Flu Game, as it is referred to, was the game in the 1997 where Michael battled through the flu to drop 38 points. These kicks commemorate the accomplishment with OG colorway and detailing like the 38 for the points scored, 97, which was the year it happened, and of course the sick face smiley. If my memory serves me right, the FLU GAME happend in the playoffs vs. utah during the second half of 97-98 season. The flu game was in 98 right? So why does it say 97 on the tags? Being an owner of a pair of OG “Flu Game” 12’s and actually remembering sitting in front of the tv watching Michael work his magic, I have to say that I like the concept.
HOWEVER…
I feel that, although Jordan Brand has retroed this particular design with the “nick-nacs” like the year, the sick face, and the number of points scored, the only retro that would do the original pair (and MJ’s Performance) justice would be a retro of the original design WITH THE ORIGINAL LEATHER UPPER, THE ORIGINAL BRIGHT RED COLORWAY, AND THE ORIGINAL T W O 3 GOING DOWN THE TONGUE. So what a sick face is on the tongue, so what the year and points are on the tongue?!? SNEAKERHEADS WANT WHAT MJ ACTUALLY WORE ON COURT!!! I am tired of Jordan Brand making inferior products to commemorate the past. GIVE US RETROS!!! Honestly their are destroying a classic Jordans. What is that ?, the suede looks horrible. You and adding unnecessary numbers and smile faces are really messing up this sneakers just please bring back the black leather instead of the really ugly suede. I HOPE THEY DESTROY THE WHITE AND RED 12. Im not buying those only if the bring back the black leather all the new comers can wear those.

for jordan,material was way more strudy and longer lasting.i still have some pairs from the days
like my white cement iv’s,fire red v with the NIKE air in the back. you could most deff tell
who are the yungins and the oG collectors. im not spending not even a dime on these. i have my Og pair
great matrial. i could tell these are goin to be a horrible look.ppl are goin to look like the fluu rockin these.

well sorry fellas,but i love leather material on shoes,i hate a material they call suede but isnt really suede,and by the way,jordan doesnt use real suede material,if they did,i wouldnt be complaining,real suede is real dark and super soft,that stuff that jordan calls suede is a ashy fading color/material,and what do you mean did i watch the game, i watched jordan from 83-98,wasnt a wizrad fan,sorry,and i dont buy jordans just because there called jordans,i grew up getting jordans in the 80,s when they first came out,something you wished you wouldve experianced,cause these retros there surving yall are straight trash,there not of a high quility,sturdy,hard to mess up,better and more expensive material,we can tell who are the youngns,you just buy just to buy, i buy for quility and color scheme,not just say i have someing i dont like just because everybody else around you is doing it,been a jordan head for years,catch up with these trashy suede retros yall are going to be buying.

Well, I think these are going to be the first time these ever release with nubuck though. The black and red 12’s were the first pair of Jordans I ever had and my favorite. So nubuck doesn’t even matter to me. I got those black/university blue nubuck 12’s to. Not really feeling the rising sun 12’s. I probably get the rising suns and resell for like 230. Oh, and those 20’s that came in the 3/20 pack, SUCKED bad. Now that’s a shoe that needs some lotion.

seeing how JB is putting suede on everything this year, i wouldnt be surprised if they made the white/red 12,s in suede,maybe because it will be around winter time,but i dont know whats trully there problem with the materials there choosing to use this year and next year,i hope they change that mind frame at the last minute before they release these classic shoes from now until next summer.

no disrespect boss man,but did you copp these when they first came out,its a huge difference,not a little one,the black leather was a masterpiece,i mean, i know people are going to buy just because there 12,s,but if youve ever had the original released 12,s,then you would look at these in a different light,youngns will cop anything jordan makes,the suede looks thirsty for that black leather,the black leather they used for the og color ways were really expensive looking,it was like a couch leather material,it was really nice,that suede really looks thirsty,it has that ashy look,like if you wear them to much the suede will collect particles and turn to that dusty off white material, i will copp once,thats about it,horrible job though,but if youve never had the original ones and your new sneaker head like the majority of people nowadays,then i guess you love that crappy looking suede.
