Air Jordan Fusion 4 “Fire Red”
Posted by Matt Halfhill | Jul 1, 2009 As Jordan Brand continues the Fusion series, today saw the release of the “Fire Red” colorway of the Air Jordan Fusion 4. The “Fire Red” Jordan 4 has taken a couple forms in the past few years. Starting in 2005, the shoes were released as an online exclusive with a lasered upper. The following year the shoes received Spike Lee’s stamp of approval when a Mars Blackmon version released in July of 2006. This time around the upper and outsole is blended with the Air Force 1.

Ok i just copped the fire red they are fire!! The rest of tha colors are fire also. Stop hating on the fusion lines. Sum of them are ugly. But these are an exception.

i don’t know why everyone’s hating on these…
fusion’s are a totally different part of JB, just like spizikes are, just like true flights are…
the entire point is they are different. they’re not meant to be OG’s or retro’s
if you don’t like them, simply don’t buy them
me personally, if i think a pair of kicks looks fresh, i’ll wear them..
OG, retro, fusion, or not
but i like kids like zoo zoo who keep arguing over the internet, it gives me something to read when i’m bored at night ^_^

I must be the oldest cat here, actually having been alive for the original Js, let alone owning the originals at the time of release… and (gasp!) wearing them. So when I snatch up a pair of 6s, I do so because it brings a smile to *my* face because I remember how stupid happy I was as a kid when they came out. Some other cat doesn’t like ‘em? Shame.

So the only people that should get these are the people that already have the OGs or the retros????? How about this concept…… I’M GETTING THEM BECAUSE I LIKE THEM. Sounds good enough to me. You guys can go back and forth about this and that but I’m getting them and I am getting the space jams, the red/wht 12s and the 6s that drop next yr. Actually, I walked into a Footlocker today and they still had the Bred 5 Fusions. I copped those joints along with the bred 6 fusions for $160. Oh well, I guess I’m supposed to feel bad now…. NOPE! I like em… and trust me the collection is pretty tough. I thought that’s what sneakerheads did…. BUY SHOES THAT THEY LIKE DESPITE THE HATE OR HYPE!!!!! Ugh. This is the only fusion I’ve caught that I’ve given more than a moment’s thought of purcahsing. Think it is going back to the OG 4’s I had in 7th grade in the black/red/white colorway - makes me want to have those again. After giving it thought, I’d rather snatch up the Mars black/red/white colorway retro 4’s on eBay for a few bucks more.
For fusions, though, I’ll say that these are the best looking to date. I just can’t bring myself to pulling the trigger, though. It’s like dating one chick because she reminds you of another that was much better looking…

Don’t see why you guys are hating on them. I’m a retro guy too, but that didn’t stop me from buying a pair of Fusion 6’s. These look more like the OG sneakers than any other fusion, so I’m not sure whats the big deal. They’re hot to me, which is why I’m going to get them. It was between these and the draft day kobe’s, which I still may get. If Jordan balled in these you guys would be praising these. I think they should focus on more retro’s, but if they put out a hot sneaker than what’s the big deal?
