Luxury sneakers usually aren’t our thing, but the Yeezy clearly showed us that there are plenty of people willing to spend exorbitant amounts of cash for kicks even in a recession. Gucci’s colors get bit by sneaker companies about as much as Jordan’s elephant print by startup streetwear labels, but sometimes there is nothing like the genuine product. This fall, Gucci is introducing a high top sneaker that come in high grain leather with the classic Green-Red-Green stripe across the side of the sneaker. Other touches include an oversized metal eyelet that give the shoe a boating feel.
Ready to know the damage? Let’s just say they are a few hundred off the Kanye West Louis Vuitton sneakers, but they will still set you back $535.

i love gucci, the green/red is really classy. this is a nice silhouette. i wouldnt say they are biting off the dunk silhouette, if anything this one is more similar to a blazer silhouette and i would venture to guess they would have a similar fit to a blazer as well, so if you dont like blazers i wouldnt go for this shoe personally.
i agree that we are talking about a different class of shoe, style altogether though. if you are into fashion like that and are mature enough to understand that you dont buy gucci anything unless you can truly afford it without hurting yourself financially whatsoever, then you wont bat an eyelash at the price and you wont walk around like a foolish young idiot trying to brag about them either.
as far as the ladies and game and all that, i dont believe that having gucci, lv, or any other high end fashion accessory will get you any further than the next man with any woman. its your confidence and inner power and allure that will be the difference between some clown hoping that she sees his guccis and a real man with confidence, looks, and some guccis as the icing on the cake.

First off, the design of the shoe is horrible,it looks like Pro Keds mixed with Reebook n Nike Terminator!!!!!WACK!!!money doesnt buy swagg,there r better Gucci sneakers out there,Im not a Luxury kicks guy even though I can afford em…I just think that they’re for showing off,n prove dat one has low self estime…After all,a sneaker game shouldnt b about price,but look!!!!!Gucci designers hav no sense of style watsoever,Yeezys LVs prove that a black man can design dem better.N for that guy who spent 300.00 on a SCARF,dude…u must have never seen money b4!!!Dumb ass,see dat scarf u can only wear it once per cold season,so tuff luck when it starts 2 have da little balls of fabric on it after a year

It’s really based on your style and where you are in terms of the country,life, etc… For many Jordans are the quintessential sneaker mainly due to them being the must have shoe during the time when we were kids. ( At least when I was a kid).
However, being older and a medical professional my style has matured. I have high end leather shoes for occasions that call for a more refined look. Given the circles that I associate with on ocassion a pair of Jordans doesn’t fit.
With that being said I still have an extensive Jordan collection that I wear. I will continue to purchase them as long as I am able.
A few pairs of nice Italian loafers $600, A few pair of fresh out the box Jordans $400, The ability to go from the board room to the b-ball court and still be me Now that’s PRICELESS!!!

These arent for everybody……..And if you were to ask people that live in the hamptons do they wear guccis or do they were jordans they would more than likely say gucci you ask a doctor or lawyer or affluent people in general what they wear on the weekend they would say gucci…. I happen to wear both gucci and jordan and live in a gated community and trust me jordans arent that popular where I live

I dont know the source but these look similar to some gucci highs that are out now and gucci generally doesn’t mass produce the same style in slightly different colors like other brands. Ie…they make mr think variants. Anyways…to those saying the price is what makes them fresher than any one in jordans…thats weak! Money can’t buy swag….drake is a perfect example of this! (lol…weak wrist and all).
I have a single pair of prada sneaks and a single pair of gucci sneakers purchased from saks (that means official!) but I didn’t buy them cuz of the price…they were simply dope and I had to have em!

there are other brands i’d rather buy in the price range. if you’re gonna spend that much cash on a pair of sneakers you might as well buy something truly fresh over some boring shizz like this that happens to say “gucci” on it

I got no problem wit GUCCI LV or any other high end fashion shoe….. But the only thing fresh bout these is that they say gucci…. Im sick of hearing dudes say my gucci sneaks kill Nikes and J’s jus cuz they say Gucci….. Design makes a sneaker not the name….. And nah im not hatin cuz I done bought every kind of sneaker….. I don’t discriminate…. Unless it’s REEBOK or CREATIVE RECS…..
