Kicks On Court: Summer League Sneaker Standouts

After the Kicks On Court Awards, we planned to hibernate our Kicks On Court column until the beginning of the 2009-2010 NBA season. However, after viewing some of the summer league games and seeing some very nice sneakers, we had to share with you what is happening on the summer hardwood. Surprisingly, we spotted a wider array of nice basketball sneakers than we see during some nights in the actual regular season. Some of the recent releases were spotted over the weekend such as the Air Jordan 5 “Toro Bravo”, the Nike Zoom Kobe IV “Draft Day” and the Air Jordan 12 “Nubuck”. the aqua 8 and the 5 raging bulls kills the rest on the list. along with the raging bull and air jordan 1 pack i plan on getting the air jordan 60+ shoes. i like the originality and the fact that they are different and bring all the elements together from all of my favorite jordans especially the air jordan 5 with the icy soles and the flames or shark teeth.

the aqua 8,s are killing everything on these pics,the colors on all the rest of the J,s are just plain ugly,and JB,please stop with the ugly colors with the jordan 5,s,it looks like JB wants to ruin the legacy of the 5,s,1-14,and18-23,are my favorites,leave only the original colors on them retros,unless if your going to come with it like yall are going to with that black/red\and gold trim retro 1 phat coming out soon,and please JB i dont care about how many other ugly fusions,and ugly colors yall throw up on the retros this,please,i am begging pretty please,what ever yall are going through,do not mess up the retro 6 black\infrared coming out next year,the color scheme on that retro 5 bull package was garbadge,but yall made it up to me in a big way with the retro 1 60+ package,thats the only heat ive liked this year from yall,2010 looks better, i just hope yall bring out the heat in 2010 like yall say you are.

iRock Fusions - That whole “you can’t afford Fusions” response is just as DUMB as the shoes look.
LMAO @ not having money to buy those, when many have multiple Countdown Packs, Retros & OG’s etc. Fusions are blasphemous!

@jonlew It’s just you. I love seeing BASKETBALL sneaks being smashed on a baller’s feet while he’s chasing after a BASKTEBALL. Much more exciting than looking at them wrapped in tissue paper and a cardboard box.
Very cool to see the Toro V and also the Aqua 8 — maybe that means that Jordan retro quality is still good enough for ballin? But Fusions??? aaaaack.
