After seeing a plethora of Nike Zoom Kobe IV colorways this past NBA season (don’t worry, you will probably see a few more), many of you have looking over your shoulders for the Nike Zoom Kobe V. Although photos of a Kobe V sample have surfaced on the web, it is yet to be revealed if it is actually the real thing. Until then, Nike has released another Kobe Bryant signature sneaker in the form of this Nike Dream Season. At a first glance, this shoe look as if it is a high top Nike Zoom Kobe IV; however, the Dream Season possesses some different characteristics. Instead of the flywire and lunar foam that is incorporated into the Kobe IV, this particular sneaker features nylon and leather. As for the colorway, it owns a Black/Varsity Purple-White color scheme and contains Kobe’s signature, initials and number on the heel panel. Available now at Kix Files. the midsole and outsole are basically the same as the IV’s but without the spiderman multidirection tread. It looks like it has lunarlite foam in the forefoot again which is bad. Its like a IV bottom with a III silhouette and a hyperdunk like ankle cut, which should make for a pretty good shoe. It’ll be interesting to see how the carbon fiber upper will perform.

saw these up close and personal, they look and feel straight up cheap, not sure what Nike was thinking with these, unless its to be Kobe’s cheaper line (like Bron’s soldiers).

My Pippen IV’s were the most comfortable shoe to hoop in ever, and i think most of it was due to the top being this woven nylon mesh like the top of these. I’d cop them just to hoop in, and wear them til the wheels fall off if they’re anything as cozy as them Pip’s.
