Nike SB July Quickstrikes

This month’s Nike Skateboarding Quickstrikes have arrived at SB retailers like Premier. This month, the Quickstrikes include the Nike SB Dunk Low and Nike SB Blazer Swoosh Life. The Dunk Low combines Varisty Blue and Pink Ice colors over the classic silhouette. While the SB Blazer features the moniker “Swoosh Life” across the heels, and comes in a cream color with Hot Red accents. You can pick up either of these for $92. I want the fat tongue because it protects and cushions my feet when throw fits in my cubicle.
Grow up you whiny little babies. Nike doesn’t care about skaters. They care about one thing: money. Less material and a standardized tongue equals a better bottom line. It’s as simple as that. Skate or don’t, Nike couldn’t care less. Just keep buying.

Got mine today. The blazers r smooth as silk in person. The dunks didnt impress me too much. FYI the Blazers run a lil small.

I completely dissagree, the pink sets that shoe off!! If u want blue and white, wait for the blue white bruins next month. If you want to complain, complain about the skinny tongue, now u really gotta eyeball someones sneakers to see if they’re sb’s or some bullsh!t from journeys!

Trill, since you dont skate, leave your assumptions out.
first, the tongue has NOTHING to do with “impact.” That would be more of an outsole technology, or their zoom air insoles. there is no impact on the top of your foot unless you suck horribly at flip tricks.
Seriously, puffy tongues serve NO F*CKING PURPOSE other than looks alone. They dont help board feel, they dont help flexibility, they dont f*cking help anything. and if you DID skate you would now.
i’m done, you kid’s just like puffy tongues cause they “look cool” sticking up out of your baggy ass jeans. and 90% of you dont even skate these things so i dont even know why it matters. Go buy some Osiris D3’s if you want pillows on your feet.

it was the team that caused the change.
i chopped it up with the SB rep (who is considered fam) at my homies skateshop.
his exact words were:

I skate and fat tongue makes more sense.. if someone wants to skate a slim shoe they wouldnt pick a dunk low; maybe some vans. Makin the tounge thin dosnt slim down the shoes profile or give u better board feel. NIKE is just retarded and likes to fix things that arnt broken. People will buy them anyway tho.. and the colorway sucks even more than the thin tounge.

yea i realize tht 666 but the nike dunks have been having fat tongues for like 6 years, and thts a HUGE reason why ppl like these shoes so much. look at the other blogs tht show sb dunks with skinny tongues, many ppl are mad and their not gunna sell as much
