Air Jordan 1 High - “School Daze”

Before you know it, there will be a Jordan sneaker for every one of Spike Lee’s movies. Keeping with the tradition of the “Do The Right Thing” AJF 4 “Cement Grey” Fusions we showed you recently, these two Air Jordan 1 High models pay tribute to Spike’s 1988 “School Daze.”
The Jordan 1 High Strap takes its colorway right from the movie poster. The yellow swoosh contrasts nicely with the white and purple leather base. We know a lot of you are tired of Jordan 1 releases, but these work nicely, owing their theme and colors to a classic film. The other Jordan 1, a strapless High, draws inspiration from the fraternity Gamma Phi Gamma, the fraternity for whom character “Half-Pint” pledged. The clean black and grey leather colorway looks great, especially if you and your brothers are locked in a step battle, just like in the film. While these releases may be battling for attention against a ton of other 1’s released recently, the inspiration may just make these a great back to school pick-up.

copped the grays.. But IMO 1’s are priced to much.. 89-99 should be the sweet spot, not $110.

To speak the truth adidas should of thought of this first. Adidas is plastered all over this movie. Imagine if they would of dropped the g phi g adidas crew neck sweat shirts to match? Awe man. Oh well JB got it first. Your bad adidas.

These are both OG colorways. The black and greys were released way back when and the purple ones were a sample never released to the public. I like them both, but Im a sucker for 1s. Go to air - jordans . com if you dont believe me.

Both colorways are cold and the concept is dope.
I like all the things that can be done with the AJ1’s, but I wanna see some creativity in some other retros. No, fusions don’t count.

My friend had those grey/black ones about a yr ago and yes they were fake. Since they released I guess he could say he had the ‘OGs’ hahaha. Man JB brand pay attention to the factory variant colorways so you don’t make the mistake of releasing those colors!!!

Lately it seems the more creative a story the “geniuses” at JB concoct, the more premium a price they charge for the shoe. This AJ1 doesent really have enough markers to identify and/or tie it in as a tribute to the film. If it did the shoe would be more choice.
