Air Jordan Fusion 13 White/Black-Varsity Red
Posted by Matt Halfhill | Aug 14, 2009 The idea of an Air Jordan Fusion sounds rather simple right? Well, not if you really want to fuse the two properly. In the beginning, the AJF 12 and AJF 5 featured pretty much untouched AF1 outsoles slapped to the bottom of Air Jordan uppers. As the line progressed, the soles were altered to resemble the soles of the original Air Jordan shoes more and more.
For creating the Air Jordan Fusion 13, Jordan Brand might have one of the hardest outsoles to create with an AF1 mold. The upper strongly resembles the original Air Jordan 13 with a defined toebox and added ankle strap. All things considered, what are you opinions of the Air Jordan Fusion 13? How high (or low) does this rank in the Fusion series? Word is that this is the second to the last model of the Fusion series - is this something to be celebrated? There were only 4 good fusions, the fusion 4, 9, 12 & 5. So far jordan has disrespected the 6’s,3’s, 20’s & now he disrespects the classic #13’s. But I’m glad he keeps putting out Dub Zero’s, Fusions & 6 rings so people like myself & stock up on retro & be exclusive. Cannot for the space jams to come out! now walk with me for a moment……… conceptually these are THE BEST “FUSED” fusions its pretty evenly distributed with aspects of both the AF-1 and Jordan. Now these are some of the ugliest shoes i’ve ever seen. The AJF 3, 4, 5 and 12’s are quite tolerable and respectable (My friend gave me a pair of AJF 12 as a gift, to be honest, they ain’t that bad and pretty comfortable for a everyday shoe) but the concept of fusing (no pun intended) the AF1’s and 13’s are hideous, the 13’s won’t workout well with the shape of the AF1’s, pls. stop the madness and release more retros (except the 1’s which JB is destroying it’s legacy w/ some crappy colorways and concepts lately)…

There are so many obvious screw-ups from Nike’s designers, it’s hard to know where to begin…. With the strap, that is useless & ruins the design flow? or with the white(?) midsole stitching that breaks the sillohette?….or maybe the “Nike Air” embroidered on the heel or the AF1 lace bar-tag. Just a waste. But Nike is so arrogant toward it’s customers & it’s retailers anyway, it’s their way or the highway.

These have potential in a different colorway. The white and black contrast kills it. Only the original 13 could pull that off.

these ARE NOT fusions. these are AJF 13 (air jordan force 13), which is why they are half jordan and half air force
and yes these 13s are ugly as hell
