It was about this time 10 years ago that the Black/Red Air Jordan 4 retro released forever changing the Jordan Brand franchise that was only 2 years old at the time. Now a decade later the timeless sneaker has underwent some retooling coming out as the Air Jordan Fusion 4. Love or hate the Fusion concept, it is here to stay for several more months, but if you have had some angst for the Air Jordan 4 being “fused”, celebrate that this colorway will be the last to release when it officially drops on August 29th for $145. |

I got the 4’s from 99 and the CDP’s and I like these fusions quite a bit. I got two pairs of 3’s and still bought the fusion version of them. Buy what you like, not what you think someone else will.

A shoe is only worth what someone will pay for it. If Yeezy’s were actually worth the $700 or more that most spots are asking for em, then people would save up and buy em all…..and you wouldn’t see em anywhere. guess what…..that’s not the case. That’s the situation with 99% of sneakers out there. People actually buy into the internet hype as far as what a shoe is worth, and then wonder why they try selling a pair of 10 year old kicks for $500 and end up looking at that shoebox collect dust for the NEXT 10 years. Truth be told, they can say a shoe’s made with “premium” leather and all that jazz, but most kicks are made in sweatshops by 7 year old Burmese orphans. With these, they weren’t designed with hardcore sneakerheads in mind……and alot of people that post comments on all these websites are new to collecting kicks, so they’re still in it to just look good…..they don’t care about scrounging up $500 for a 10 year old shoe simply for the goal of impressing some people online they don’t actually know……so for regular people who want a pair of kicks that look decent, these are more than OK.

These are for the people that missed the 4/19 package……I would wear these if my mom or girl got these for me as a gift but for me to go into finishline and buy them off of the shelfs won’t happen.

dooshbag! guess i offended someones fusion collection, haha.. only being real bro if your going to spend roughly about $160 might as well buy a shoe that will go up in value, fusions as always end up on clearance on eastbay or collecting dust on local shoe store shelves, they never sell out, you’ll find them on craigslist for lower than retail 2 months after they release. as for the retro’s on the true line up they sell above retail at any given day, there prices unlike fusions go up in value instead of decreasing below retail, well most retros anyway. if your going to collect or wear might as well go with the pair that will appreciate with time rather than walking in your local mall with the shoes from the clearance rack.

imagine wearing these next to the guy with the actual jordan bred 4’s, think about that feeling before u by these? its like pulling up to a stoplight on your scooter right next to the Ducati, you try not to look or feel shameful but the feeling is there…. and you will never feel as proud until you upgrade to the real deal. dont get looked down on upgrade to the real, its not to far off jfusion iv’s $145 cdp iv’s $240 retro 99 iv’s $350,, its sounds like the commercial but yes your attitude & feeling …. priceless.. if you do decide to buy these dont forget your dignity with you $145+ tax

I disagree, these shoes are really well made, in my opinion they compare better with the Jordan 60+, even though I like those shoes too.

Personally, they ain’t that bad compare to other fusions such as the 13 and 20’s, them joints are descent and respectable and both the 4’s and AF1’s combined is a nice concept but I’m just wondering why would JB just release the OG 4’s to the public except for the countdown package…

imagine if no jordan’s were ever retroed? many of you on this blog would have no idea what the iv’s looked like and you all would be holding your dicks to these. a lot of you on here may have been too young or not even born at the time to remember when the og iv’s came out…so to talk about retros are better and this and that is foolish…you need to understand that the fusion lines of sneakers are a CONCEPT. they aren’t supposed to be “just like…but…”. if no jordan’s were retroed and all JB came out with are fusions, a lot of you “jordan collectors” would have some pretty empty closets. don’t get me wrong, iv’s are one of my favorite j’s and i’m glad that retros are out there. i understand if you just don’t like the way the shoe looks, i don’t like supras…and that is just my taste, but to hate on a shoe just because it is a “fusion” and not because of the way it looks or the comfort of wearing is just ridiculous.

i copped the fusion 5s for the simple fact the fives are my favorite. so i think its a personal preference. these are not that bad in my opinion, no different from the others, (jordan upper, air force bottom). who ever designed the 13s and approved them should die

^^ The retro IVs … not the OGs.
These are probably the nicest of the Fusion series. I saw someone in the Fusion IV Military Blues and they look straight foolish. Just get the real IVs and call it the day. Besides, you’ll be much more respected for it instead of wearing those garbage joints.
Still, these ones are nice but overall, the Fusion concept is wack in the sneaker world.

The concept is nice to combine 2 of nikes best of the best BUT its just not well executed. Same as 6 rings, or Spizikes etc. From a design point its just not there it looks like a toddler who put a bunch of legos together and mix it with play-doh. It just doesn’t work. Yes don’t get me wrong it looks nice as if they are a fresh pair of IV’s but look again it’s not. It makes me think am I drunk or high lookin at these but oh wait I forgot they are Fusions. I wonder whats next Fusing Air Max running shoes w/ Jordans too??

looking back I wish I’d have picked up the ajf12 glacier, it was probably the best executed release of the fusion line. great colors and no fiddling with the af1 outsole to make it look different.
these aren’t so bad either and if I see them discounted may get picked up as well

Do you people understand why it doesn’t have the nike air logo? Jordan is its own brand now it has been for quite sometime…….. read the article above. You will never see the NIke logo on Jordans again, and if you want to get your money right and get some DS on ebay. Another classic Jordan in an original colorway ruined. What’s Up! The 1st fusion boxes said it was to celebrate the anniversary of both shoes…. the year & the party is OVER! JB refuses to put a Nike Air/Swoosh on the heel of this shoe (where it belongs) but they make sure to sqeeze it on the back of the 13 Fusions! A shoe that is already bad enough.It’s it’s time to respect the fans ( and product - shoes) that made you rich.
