Air Jordan Fusion 4 White/Cement Grey-Black “DTRT”

This summer Jordan Brand has brought back the Air Jordan 4 by way of the Air Jordan Fusion 4. For this round of Fusions, JB is bringing back all of the original colorways including this, the White/Black-Cement Grey colorway made famous in the 1989 film “Do The Right Thing.” This summer also marks the 20th anniversary of the movie that Jordan Brand has celebrated with apparel that would make you fit in with any of the extras from the film. Adding a little bit of a touch and nod to Spike, JB added a debray to this AJF4 that is just like the accessory at the foot of Buggin’ Out’s pair that were scuffed in the movie.
These Air Jordan Fusion 4’s are available in Jordan Brand stores this month for $145. Bike tire scuffs not included.

People need to stop hating on fusions, although I realize that some are hideous these are dope and if they were released back in 89′ then everybody would love em now. Jordan is a business and one of the most successful brands of all time. What is JB supposed to do?… release nothing but the same handful of Js that are coveted so that we are so heavily saturated with them. Of course if I had the choice between these and the og’s I would definitely choose the OG’s who wouldn’t.
All the self proclaimed “real sneakerheads” looks at it like this is disrespecting the OG’s but I say if they retroed them it would disrespect them by taking away from the rarity. If you guys want the OG’s then get your money right and find some on ebay or flightclub you broke bastards.
There is no rule book to sneaker collecting or sporting.

99 cement retros are not wearable anymore these days. they will just crush on you and make you look ridiculous where ever you are when that happens. I have seriously considered buying a “good quality” knock off pair of cement IV’s on ebay. Here are the PROS:
1, you finally get a new wearable pair of your favorite IV’s
2, you won’t pay 300, 400, or even 500 for them
3, they look almost identical to the real ones
4, you are proofing a point to jb. you are saying hey if you don’t put out the retro I want, the retro I’ve been waiting for, the retro that should have came out for the 20th anniversary for dtrt then I AM GOING TO SAY F**K YOU AND BUY A VARIANT PAIR.. B I T C H !!
CONS:
1, they are fake
2, by closely looking you can tell they are fake
3, the midsole is glossy and less speckled than the real ones
4, you don’t know how long they will stay fresh for
5, the material may be a little bit cheaper

I remember growing up as a kid when you had a pair of J’s you had something. Not only where they a status symbol but if you weren’t there when the store opened you didn’t get them. They released new colorways infrequently and they were released once a year. The folks at JB need to get with the real heads and consult with us to make the brand better. There was never a time when j’s would be on sale. They have saturated the market and killed the brand. I am old school I only rock the j’s before the JB line was created. If it doesn’t say Nike Air on them, put’em back.

fusions suck, but these are clean… not only the fresh colorway, but its overall probably the freshest of any fusion ive seen thus far. Sure, it would be real nice for JB to come out and re-release these for the 20th anniversary.. but what does he do, he releases the colorway in fusion format.. so unfortunately JB and retro fans, it AINT GONNA HAPPEN… most of the cement 4s these days are beat anyways, so might as well pick up a pretty damn close 2nd in these

I noticed something on the IV being worn by Buggin’ in the shot from DTRT…
Why does the netting stop short (on the tongue)?? Didn’t the original have netting that went the entire length of the tongue (just as the 99′ retro does)?
Its like the netting stops at the accessory and then below that you see a completely seperate spotted pattern (actually similar to the IV+ retro’s). Would Nike have given the actor a sample, one different from the OG’s?
Does anyone else notice this? I haven’t until just now.
