Nike KD2 “Velvet Hoop”

Although the Air Max LeBron VII and the Kobe IV are taking signature basketball sneakers to a different level lately, there are other players in the NBA that are coming out with nice sneakers, namely Kevin Durant. At the end of July, we showed you the Kicks On Court: USA Minicamp edition which showcased Durant playing in the Nike KD2. Many of you really took a liking to the KD2 and asked for more photos. Today, Kevin Durant revealed a photo of a special Nike KD2 colorway from his Twitter account. This particular colorway of the upcoming Nike KD2 is dubbed the “Velvet Hoop”. If you recall, Velvet Hoop is the name Durant goes by in the Hyperizers - Don’t Criticize (Hyperize) Nike basketball advertisement. As for the makeup, this shoe features a primarily red patent leather base combined with a yellow midsole and a green outsole. To coincide with the latter area, this shoe also contains a green border around the black swoosh. As another added detail, this Nike KD2 owns a multi-colored inner lining. Is the Nike KD2 “Velvet Hoop” better than Velvet Hoop’s verse in the commercial? No word yet on when/if this shoe will release. Meanwhile, click here to voice your opinion on this shoe. |

The Kd 1’s are some of my favorite joints. I don’t mind these at all.

KD has the ugliest shoes in the NBA right now. Ill rather take Baron Davis’ Li-Ning’s. Really KD make some fire shoes that could match you Uni.
