Bape Fall Wood Land Pack

For Fall of this year, Bape’s put together a 4-sneaker collection, dubbed the “Wood Land Pack,” including 4 pairs of Bape Stas. Three of the pairs use natural tones, driving home the woodland idea concept. Included in the pack is a brown and tan set, a brown, green, tan and black pair, a black and grey combo and a fourth colorway that breaks from the others’ general theme. The fourth, as you can see, is a combination of bright yellow, lime green, pink and orange–a look we’re more accustomed to seeing from the Japanese brand. All four feature the company logo on the outer heel, and are built from leather, with no patent in site. With such wide variety off appeal in this one pack, is there a pair (or two or three or four) that you must have? Click here for more pics. |

The demise of Bape in America is not to hard to understand. The brand offered a product that was (initially) abstract in it’s concept and design. A transition took place beginning in 2007, this transition was from garments with outlandish designs to garments with much less conspicuous branding. I believe that this can be attributed to the decline in popularity of hip-hop culture since the early 00’s. Skate culture and it’s associated themes (rock music, White suburban America, streetwear, skate-oriented footwear etc.) slowly hut surely began and continues to erode what’s left of hip hop culture in the U.S. I believe a similar trend is occuring with Nike this year, but only time will tell. wonder why their SB line is not as relevant as it used to be? Well, that’s for another comment block.

I don’t care if they use the most premo of materials…they still look like knockoff AF1z. The Raider joints are a cool look but I’d still rather have that swoosh on the side. Y’all can fall into the hype trap if you want too though…

I do understand why the real shoe head or expert sneaker freak you want some Bathing Apes but they are just not my style. All this talk about stealing from nike is your way of showing how ignorant you are. Bape’s materials is better than nike now so if your going to hate something then know why your hating it.

All this complaining about price. I paid roughly $200 for my last pair of Bapesta’s. Yet, people are watering at the mouth to drop $175 on the Space Jam XI’s. Many of those horrible Fusions run $150+. Not all “premium” Nike AF 1’s are low. What about the TZ drops that garner $150+? (If you’re lucky.) Regardless, if you don’t like the price, don’t buy ‘em. Quit crying. Buy what you like and do you.

I still rock Bape. [Even though it's ridiculous hard for me to get my hands on a pair because I wear the bigger sizes.] I just copped a pair of the red “Ghostbuster” collab not too long ago. I’m no hypebeast, either. I wear a lot of brands…outside of the ’swoosh’ and ‘jumpman’ *gasp!* (Crazy! I know!) Regardless, I wear what I like and smash it every time. I wish one of you little ‘e-thugs’ would clown me for wearing mine. Chillens these days and their loud Rock music. *lol*
I 2nd what Cuda posted in terms of the quality and materials. [Especially compared to a lotta the crap released by Nike and JB these days.] As for these? I’d definitely cop the 2nd and 4th pair. If you don’t like ‘em, that’s good. More for me.

Before YOU try school us you must learn about the subject. Bape didn’t buy jack from nike in fact it’s well known couple years back that Nike tried to sue Bape but didn’t win. Other than the sole of the shoe the design look nothing like the swoosh the may have won in a court of law but we all know where Nigo got his ideas from. You can’t be a orginal buy xeroxing the a classic like the AF1 and call ya self a leader and if the shoes may have premium materials but the idea or charging 3 x as much for something you copied. I guess most of us REAL SNEAKERHEADS have common sense to not pay for something that’s not original with a price tag that’s 3x’s as much .

Geez, where are all tha so called sneakerheads at??? Seems theres a lot of hating going on since theres no swoosh or jumpman. 1st of all Bathing Ape bought the rights to use thier sole FROM Nike. People wore Bape after ‘07? (Haha, maybe ‘06?) Those tacky army fatigue hoodies with gorilla heads that were like $300 used to be everywhere like 3 years ago.
I think Soulja Boy gave a tiny bit of life back into Bape’s a little while ago because he discovered Bape mad late, so his fans might be wearing them right now. Who knows.

Alright here is everything I have to say about BAPE: There shoes are overpiced, knockoff nikes, there clothing I think is really really cool but also insanely overpriced. Like I said I like there clothes but dislike there shoes but I don’t understand how they stay in business with shirts that cost 73$ and shoes that cost 200$ plus

I like them, I never been the type of hypebeast who attempt to wear what everyone else is. I liked Bapes and besides, who hasn’t use the AF1 sillouette. Bape is more known for their clothing anyway. Why do you guys act this way about anything that doesn’t have a Jumpman or a Swoosh?
