Project Bluefoot LeBron Design Competition
Posted by George Kiel III | Sep 23, 2009 Following the Air Jordan XXV design competition, Project Bluefoot is at it again this time teaming up with Nike to launch a brand new sneaker competitive activity for up and coming footwear designers.
This particular competition involves designing a signature sneaker for none other than LeBron James. The judges for this bout will be Air Max LeBron VII designer Jason Petrie and Zoom LeBron VI designer Ken Link. The talented winner of this Bluefoot competition will win a pair of Nike Air Max LeBron VII’s. As an aspiring designer, I wanna say thanks for setting these guys straight. This is a great oppurtunity, its not about the prize
and I really hope NiceKicks takes Suckers’ advice - It would be great to show case some of the designs here on NiceKicks to get the opinion of some heads

You guys, this is a DESIGN COMPETITION for aspiring designers to get feedback and critique from professional designers and a chance at getting their work out to the industry and public at large. It’s a showcase opportunity and learning experience…there’s no plans to produce any Lebron design concept from this competition. For the designers, it’s a rare chance for them to have design professionals like Jason Petrie and Ken Link reviewing their work, and that’s the ultimate prize in itself. Many are entering these competitions because they want to make CAREERS out of this and this is one potential pathway to get noticed. That’s the real value of these design competitions.
