New Balance JP 575 “Horse Hair”
Posted by Alex Kroviak | Oct 21, 2009
New Balance’s material choices are rarely expected, as they’ve put seemingly every skin, hair or fur on their various silhouettes. For these 575s, horse hair was chosen, accompanying leather and suede on the uppers. Thanks to a heads-up from Daily Drop, these are now available for only $49, down from the original $150 price tag. The shoe uses dark colors throughout, mixing black and dark brown. They also rest on a black sole with white speckles on the heel half. If you recall, we saw pony hair on a New Balance 757 not too long ago, though they used white leather and tan hair. Click here to weigh in on these. Are they thoroughbreds? |

I don’t even get down with NBs that tough, but these are dope. Much better than I expected them to be. I’d probably rock these before the Pigeon NBs. That’s right, I said it!

Wow, horsehair! The newly played out material of 2009. Think elephant print on every other NIke.

I wouldn’t even wear these. I’d probably be stuck petting it.
