 A couple colorways of the Air Jordan 6 are slated to return in 2010; however, some of our favorites still appear to remain in the vault for now. Definitely not nearly as popular as either of the infrared colorways, the “Sport Blue” Air Jordan VI is still actively sought after by many original Jordan collectors.
Jordan Brand gave us a little taste of blue VIs in 2000 when the shoe released in White/Midnight Navy, but I am pretty sure that after almost 19 years this one is ready for return?

seein these brings back some memories,stepdad bought 2 pairs back from states to australia in 1992,his pair didnt fit him so i scored them both,i used one pair for 2 seasons of court and training and when my prom came around pulled ont the other pair,black tux,blue tie and smokin pair of 6s,the ultimate statement when everone else is in black shiny shoes,used them as weekend shoes till they eventualy fell apart and left em on a beach,it was these shoes which have turned me into a collector of jordan 6s owning over 20 pairs,what i would give to have them 2 new boxes in my hands today!!!!!!! I feel what you’re saying, Nasty Nate. The Js you’ve mentioned are all dope in just about every colorway and I would cop them each chance I get, too. My collection certainly isn’t all black. The Js mentioned in my avatar are my favorite black OGs.

You know, for what its worth I didn’t know much about these… My first pair of Jordans as a kid were the Aqua 8’s… But these are very nice. Simple clean-cut look. Bring ‘em back, JB. Bring ‘em back.

REAL TALK, it’s sad to see this post and read 70 comments and see that only 2 people, and also matt (mr. nicekicks), pointed out that these are known as “SEPTEMBER BLUES”. as soon as i looked at the thread title i was like WTF. so i begin to read the comments to see if any one else caught this… 2 freggin people. its a sad day for the shoe game. but on a side note, thanks Matt for clearing up the confusion of the nickname. i actually had a pair a couple years ago (in beautiful condition, and my size- but i was too scared to ever wear them) with the OG box and sice it was abbreviated i never caught that, even air;jordans.com has them listed as september blue. still, i’ve been used to the name for so long i’ll continue to refer to them as such.

When I was a kid, I thought I had seen all the colorways of the VI’s… As an adult, I was watching a replay of In Living Color and as Keenan Wayans is signing off, I see him wearing these??? I knew they couldn’t be fake considering the timeframe, but I just couldn’t believe it!! I’ve spent many days wishing Nike/JB would bring these back!! (although nothing compares to the blk/infrared VI’s).

oh man… how i miss these kicks… wore for my jv year at CARSON HIGH… did my work in’m too…. i just hated having to wipe the bottom after every two play because they picked up dirt!!! very comfy!!

Many people, including myself for several years, referred to these as the “September Blues”. The reason for the confusion is that on the box, the color is listed as “SPT BLUE”. In a Nike Basketball catalog from 1990-91 the full word is spelled out as “Sport Blue.”
