Just two days ago, Foot Locker reported they would be moving the release date of the Nike Air Max LeBron VII from October 24th to October 29th. However, they’ve now changed the drop date back to the original day of the 24th of October at Foot Locker and House of Hoops locations. As for the Air Jordan 12 “Rising Sun,” the original release date of October 24th has been delayed, with no later official date yet set. Details are obviously changing on the fly, but if anything changes (again) we’ll of course keep you posted. Remember to always check the Release Dates page for the most up-to-date information. |

Talked to a friend who is a manager at Footlocker……..He tells me that any retailer who tries to sell the Rising Suns instead of returning them could run the risk of losing their contract with Jordan Brand…..says it’s not worth the risk

I think Jordan Brand is fooling everyone by misprinting the insoles on the Rising Suns. I really believe this was done purposely to cause some controversy. This recall reminds me of the day when the Bred 1s were released, and the NBA banned them. Nike and JB always push the envelope and this time it worked in their favor. If you have the Rising Suns with the “rising sun” insole, I think you have the pair that’s worth something…!

I have very good knowlegde that Nike is in BIG trouble with this shoe. Apparently they pissed over the Japanese government by using the Japanese flag on the insole. Japan is a very proud country and does not like that fact that you will be stepping on their national symbol. Also, the fact that the jordan logo is inside of the the Sun on the flag is a issue. They will still release in infants and preschool sizes on 10/24 but not in sizes 3.5-15 (kids and Mens). They will get released later but nike has recalled them to change the insoles. People are pissed and thats why the Lebrons got moved back to its original release–10/24.

We got a full size run of the 12s at hibbetts (where i work) and ive been waitin since last thursday to cop em but they just emailed us today and told us that the new release date is up in the air…and as far as the lebrons go….theyre supposed to be here on thursday next week so i knew that was gettin pushed back a week ago. but im hella mad i cant get em this weekend.

If they are all white then nike fixed them already if not then its what I suspected, just the Korean ones were recalled. This has been going on since Oct. 9, plenty of time for nike to fix the issue…

Word that the “Rising suns” are on recall due to a strike in Korea regarding the militaristic japanese symbol on the sole. They should only be replacing the soles for the XII’s releasing in Korea…Those who have their “Rising Suns” already hold on tight to them!!!
