Nike Bespoke Air Force 1 by GDP

GDP took a cue from Prince for his Bespoke Air Force 1, hitting up the design studio at 21 Mercer for multiple ways to rain purple on his Nikes. We see a lot of AF1s get churned out in a variety of styles, but right off the back, anyone who is a fan of purple will recognize these as a very clean take on what is possible with the Bespoke program. Canvas composes the majority of these, as it’s used along the laces and on the toe box and topside of the toe. The mid-panel that backs up the white Swoosh is made with a slightly darker shade of purple in nubuck, while the suede on the heel portion is almost lavender. 3M completes the look, appearing on the tongue and heel portions. Those are OK , But if you gonna do a bespoke shoe do something unique. Don’t do something that looks like Nike will drop in stores as premiums.

I don’t understand why everyone who creates a shoe with bespoke feels the need to use as many materials as possible. Yes they are there for you to choose from, but that does not mean you have to use as many as possible. That said, these are pretty clean. Some of the others though…..smh.

These are bespokes which are 1 of 1’s. They are like nike id’s but you have more options on materials. Cost around $850 to make a pair.

These are some of the best bespokes yet! I love purple and I also love the use of different materials on this shoe. It’s simple in a way yet very unique and sure to turn heads.
