Nike SB Dunk High RESN “Gucci”

We have shown you this Nike SB Dunk High RESN “Gucci” on a number of occasions (it was a part of our 24 Sneakers We’re Looking Forward to for the Rest of ‘09), and many of you have shared with us your impatient anticipation of this release. Well, you won’t have to wait too munch longer. The Nike SB Dunk High RESN “Gucci” will be available at select retailers on November 1st, 2009. Obviously, judging by its name, this SB Dunk Hi features the Gucci-inspired colorway on the base and is complimented by a white midsole and a red outsole. If you recall, this Dunk is very similar to the DJ Clark Kent-designed Dunk that released at the end of last month; however the previously mentioned sole area is where the biggest different is visible. In addition, the letters RESN appear on the tongue in gold. As stated earlier, this Dunk will release on November 1st at select retailers overseas. Click here to view detailed photos. |

This is Nick from Diamond Supply Co.
I just thought I would brief you guys on the concept behind the shoes and how they came about.
Sam Smyth from Girl Skateboards designed these back in ‘05 and I helped him a little with the materials. These were designed the same day as the Diamond “Tiffany” Dunks and were suppose to say Resn on the tongue, which was what Sam used to write when he was in the IBC tagging crew in SF. Green for the weed, red for fire and black for the resn. Gucci was just the nickname for the shoes but they were really going to be named Resn SB just as Tiffany’s are really named Diamond SB. True Story.

We never get the love. I called Nike and the Savage Beasts weren’t made in a size bigger then 15’s so these probably won’t either. But if you are a Space Jam fan BE READY.

im str8 on these. why is SB commemorating resin? i used to smoke resin when times were tuff and that ish used to get all over my fingers and clothes. eff resin. it usually jus gives me a headache. instead, i’ll wait on those chirping birds.
