Throwback Thursday: An Ode to Bo Jackson Trainers
Posted by Ian Stonebrook | Oct 1, 2009 Bo knows football, Bo knows baseball, but do you know Bo?
This week we take a look back at the monster career of two sport star Bo Jackson and his amazing line of Nike Trainers. With all the buzz surrounding the recent re-releases of the Nike Air Trainer SC “Auburn” and Nike Air Trainer 3 “Medicine Ball” it’s only right that we pay tribute to Bo Jackson. |

Nike Air Trainer 1- The Air Trainer 1 was the first marquee training shoe introduced by Nike and was endorsed by Bo during his rookie season with the Oakland Raiders. Although Bo was technically “second string” to All-Pro running back Marcus Allen, Bo put up starter numbers with a 221 yard rushing performance on Monday Night Football. Bo torched the Seattle Seahawks for 3 touchdowns and ran over linebacker Brian Bosworth who bad mouthed him before the game, ultimately ending his career.
The Trainer 1 has been retroed countless times in many memorable colorways as well as SB make-ups. From the Twisted Prep pack to the Clark Kent 112 pack, the original Trainer keeps coming back stronger than ever. Oh, did we mention some guy named Tinker Hatfield designed these?

As stated above, the Air Trainer SC II was released prior to the SC. The retro release names of these have been seriously confused when compared to the originals.

Matt Glad to see that you showed Bo some love. SneakrAddicts did a little ode to Bo Jackson as well they had a collection of four people whose Bo collections were crazy.

Pic number 5 is sad.
That’s it. There’s the tackle.
The busted hip. The end of Bo as we know Bo.
The Bengals manage to screw up EVERYTHING!

And what about the trainer e?
Oct 1, 2009 at 5:19 pm
The trainer iii *medicine balls* is the the trainer sc1 and you have the trainer sc iii *auburns* as the trainer sc1 so the sc series dropped the forefoot strap at the end of the sc series wich is the sc iii and the sc ii is 89′/90′ but great reading and info.
