Converse Wade 1.0 Vulcanized

Nike got the sports sole-turned-vulcanized movement moving with its AC series, and it looks like little brother Converse was on the same track when they whipped up these Wade 1.0 samples. Donning a greyscale colorway, these sit on a white vulcanized sole. Red is used as an accent throughout, appearing on the liner and the slats in between color panels along the side and for contrast stitching. Wade’s Converse logo appears on the tongues, which are mismatched at this point in the design process. This is probably yet another sample that is dead in the water, but would you grab some if they ever made it to production? Head to the comments section and let us know. |

figures, i like these. to little to late i guess. if i were converse i would just put them out, pull the logos off and go for it. they don’t have alot of other stuff anyway.

I kinda like these cause of the Wade 1 hits.
But the tongue looks off cause of the colors and has a weird low profile look to it.

I don’t like the vulcanized sole on Nikes, but for the converse it makes sense.
take new converse and make em look like chucks
i think a rubber toe cap would be great.

i agree with faraz69… they are nice looking shoes for casual wearing. take off the Wade symbol, change up the eyelets and put on flat laces and they’d be worth the $30-40 like some regular chucks.
