Kicks On Court: Kobe IV Craze
Posted by George Kiel III | Nov 2, 2009|
Although the season just started a week ago, we are already starting to see the constant team sneakers for this year. Sneakers such as the Nike Hyperize, the adidas TS Cut Creator, the adidas TS Commander LT will be mainstays in Kicks On Court. However, to our surprise, a lot of players have been spotted in the Nike Zoom Kobe IV as well. Obviously, Kobe Bryant sported his fourth signature sneaker last night; yet, players such as Martell Webster, Demar Derozan and Goran Dragic all wore the Kobe IV in colorways that coincided with their respective jerseys. Besides the Kobe IV, we spotted Mike Bibby sporting the Jordan Jumpman Team Pro Low; he is the only JB member to wear this shoe this year. Click here to view the Kobe IV craze plus other sneakers worn by Carmelo Anthony, Steve Nash, Kevin Durant and others. |

to the guy who commented on me: kobe was involved in the design. it was made after his liking. that is why its a great basketball sneaker because the one involved in designing is an actual star basketball player. all players have a say on their OWN signature sneaker (for example, Durant asked nike for his shoes to be more affordable, thus, the cheaper price). please do some research.

People on here are comical. It is true back in the day that people on other teams didnt wear another player’s signature shoe. But how many people back then actually had their own shoe. For instance, James Worthy had a sig New Balance but it wasn’t named after him. Furthermore, how many times did they make a signature shoe and came out with “team” colors or multiple colors for that matter (the Jordan 1?). But this practice has been goin on 4 awhile now and it doesn’t hurt that the Kobe IV is actually a very good bball shoe.
P.S.- Melo’s shoes arent never good looking! They are however excellent sneakers 4 ballin!

what the hell is broadway custard saying??? shiii, the kobes are way better then those reject melo6s. i got some respect for LeBron, but kobe has the best shoe to play in. not their fault u got some weak azz ankles.

This guy IAN above me is an idiot. Since when did KOBE design basketball shoes? He had nothing to do with the design. He maybe picks the colorways, but I didn’t know he was involved in the engineering and design of nike footwear.
Nov 2, 2009 at 3:09 pm
The reason why everybody’s wearing them, because they’re actually good bball kicks.

DJAJ2 is an idiot, ron ron? c’mon man thats just stupid. You talk like you were home schooled. These Kobe IV’s might be the ugliest pair of shoes on the court today. I cant wait til someone breaks an ankle in them, preferably Kobe himself! Lebron and Melo have the best looking shoes and best performing. Any of those Jordans arent bad either, nothing like the real Jordans, but still nice.

them 16.5’s is ridiculous at the moment
Nov 2, 2009 at 12:53 pm
Bout time the rest of the L catches up to the Kobe’s.. Those r the best hoopin shoes to come thru in a long time. lake show is still a work in progress…. If Ron Ron plays D like he did in the 3rd quarter against Joe Johnson, Ring # 5 for the Bean!

Nov 2, 2009 at 11:35 am
Man, like the Kobe IV’s but idk bout the Jumpman Lows, they look a little ugly. Oh and why don’t they release the KD1 in a black and red color scheme, that’d be dope….

Kobe IV is the definition of Basketball Footwear evolution. flexible, lightweight, tough and comfortable. its designed by one of the best players ever so it should be.
p.s. - b.roy is killing the scoreboards.
