Nike Auto Force 180

The Auto Force 180 has definitely been the most positively received vulcanized Nike since the crew in Beaverton starting churning them out. From the Knicks-inspired “NYC” colorway to the most-recently-seen teal and black pair, we’ve seen some pretty creative attempts to transition inspired color palettes to the hybrid silhouette. This next pair, expected in December, looks as though it’s taking a cue from the Nike Big Nike “Wolverine.” Using black for the upper, both in nubuck and patent leather around the mudguard, provides a nice background color for the brighter hues to jump off. Yellow is used for the “180″ and “Force” embroidery, as well as the stripe around the white vulcanized sole. Blue is used on the Swoosh and the “hoops” design along the lace borders. Can you get behind (or into) these? Head to the comments section and let us know what you think. |

I don’t understand this trend to fuse the vulcanized soles to uppers that had much cooler soles originally. It looks stupid and wrong. Period.
