STPL x Airwalk discounted to $10

Though there has been a recent trend of highly respected designers working on lower cost lines, it had yet to be done in the sneaker world.
With limited collaborations, the entry price of obtaining a Staple Design product or “pigeon” product has been far out of reach of many, but with the recent price reduction of several STPL x Airwalk shoes, most should be able to obtain a pair. Full size runs are currently available for $10 a pair at Payless. |

happy with the responses here. at first i thought the hypebeastlings ran the world. now i see that there are STILL some genuine flyheads out there. The brand or price shouldn’t matter at all. IF THE PRODUCT IS DOPE YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO PULL IT OFF REGARDLESS OF WETHER otheer dudes LIKE IT OR NOT. I THINK IT IS TERRIBLY EFFEMINATE (hope i spelled that right), FOR DUDES TO YAP OVER WHAT THEY PAID FOR THEIR CLOTHING AS IF SPENDING A $350 ON A PAIR OF JEANS THAT LOOK JUST LIKE $56 LEVIS IS A COOL THING. For example, the BLACK/CAROLINA JORDAN 12’s are now on sale at Footlocker for $90. I know dudes who copped weeks before the drop date at $250. Now less than 4 months later the shoe is a fraction of that cost and just as dope as the day they dropped. I WILL NEVER PAY FULL PRICE FOR CLOTHING WHEN I KNOW I CAN COP FOR CHEAPER AT A LATER DATE. ESPECIALLY IN A RECESSION WHEN UNITS AIN’T MOVIN LIKE THEY USED TO ANYWAY AND MOST DROPS ARE BOUND FOR A PRICE REDUCTION. lets be smart sneaker heads.

Man some kids are such hypebeasts. I bet if this was a Vans or even DC X Staple pair of kicks everyone would be lining up to double up on these. The gambits are dope looking the design overall is nice and the only reason they are selling for $10 is cause payless is closing 192 stores around USA. I got the Gambit chukka pair they are dope and comfy. RDQLUS is right people now and day are trend humpers no self style at all. When kicks have a dope design, they are dope no matter what the price is.

Not even gon’ front… when I broke this tip to Matt @ NK, I had just copped a couple pair of the “Gambit” nice and early that morning. The “hypebeastie boys” who hate on these because they’re from Payless only prove the fact that trend-humpers have no true self-style. Damn sheep. Anybody who has ever claimed to like anything from Vans, Supra, Nike SB, Clae, etc. can’t front on these.

but seriously…these shoes look like they worth $10. i don’t care about the Staple collabo, I’ll just never wear airwalks cause they are just plain ugly. the silhouette, the logo, the materials. they’re all jus so wack. i wear all brands but I just can’t f**k with airwalk.

What’s funny is how some SH’s are all about getting what’s “exclusive” or “limited” among their peers…
But when a brand that none of their fellow SH’s would rock because they’re for “poor people” come out with joints that look better than what brands that are for “rich folk” spew out, it makes me wonder. Are we rockin kicks or just name brands?

i agree with soulie17. if these nike, visvim, or whatever brand logo is popular right now and ‘limited’ people, they’d be respected more. the shoes itself look a lot better than some supras, nike 6.0s, etc. that i’ve seen.
but that’s the ironic part of branded goods. many times a brand with good following can make or break a product even if it’s a great design or bad design.

socially aware my ass. the shoes were $50 and they couldn’t sell so they are slashing them in price to $10 a pair. That sounds to me like the shoes did not sell and the collab is a fail. Say what you want, but if I paid good money for STPL clothing or other STPL shoes, i’d feel cheated after he went and did this with Payless.
