DJ AM x Nike Dunks Cover Sneaker Freaker Issue 17
Posted by Alex Kroviak | Dec 1, 2009
The highly-anticipated DJ AM x Nike Dunk Premium had a lot of readers anticipating its release when we first saw it yesterday morning. To honor both the sneaker and the late DJ who designed it, it has been chosen as the cover story for Volume 17 of Sneaker Freaker, which is available for Pre-Order Online now. As you probably recall, this Dunk features a healthy amount of patent leather, as it covers both the toe box and heel flap. 3M is also used extensively, appearing on both the Swoosh and under the turntable-inspired perforation on the heel. The print magazine is sure to have some great coverage on these, so grab a copy now at the above link. |

yo allen walker… he designed these shoes BEFORE he died. BEFORE THE OD, BEFORE THE DRUGS… The least you could do is show some respect for someone who has passed. And the show wasnt riding on people for doing drugs, if anything, it was a show to help them improve their situation and get better. And as far as I know, the money made from these will go to his foundation which helps people fight their addictions, just like the show. I suppose calling him a hypocrite could be stated but I am sure there is more to it then just him ODing.
im jus sayin… no disrespect to you or anything…

Matter of fact… If I designed them, I’d have made them bad boys coke white with medicine bottle yellow soles and laces… How’s that for special edition. Then I’d have given a free pair to those who graduate from 12 step programs, not sold them to the highest bidder.

Sat.. Thought.. And I still think we can commemorate people who deal with their problems a bit better. Or can we not find them? It’s classic. This is who we look up to?
I mean really. Can we not sub this guy out for someone who deserves it? I didn’t want AM to be a hypocrite.. But he did it to himself. No one has ever gone through life without loss. I believe he was successful enough to burn his energy in more positive ways. So make me the asshole for calling the guy ungrateful…

To Allen Walker: He had a problem. He didnt ride down on them. He tried to help others with drug problems. Also its not hard to walk away from drugs. Especially since him and Travis were the only ones to survive a plan crash. Sit and think about it for a second.

Didn’t this guy have a show riding down on people for doing drugs and then OD himself. And he’s a hero now and get’s his own shoe. GET OFF THE HYPEDICK.
