The LeBrons had previously not been given an official release date, while the Kobes weren’t set to release until mid-January of 2010. If you recall, the Nike iD versions became available for sale this morning as well, but require a 4-6 week wait time, so if you just can’t hold out that long, you have less than 24 hours after their debut to grab the Zoom Kobe V “Chaos.” The LeBron VII “Christmas” was done especially for today’s game in a black and red gradient look, with a classic LeBron photo on the insole, capturing him receive his first basketball hoop at a tender young age. Kobe’s my favorite basketball player and I think the Lakers are going to kill the Cavs on Christmas. But the LeBron 7s are much better than the Kobe 5.

The CHAOS isn’t the best colorway of the V… and if I had to take one of them it’d actually be neither.
but, since both shoes are LIMITED I guess that’s why some of you are BEASTIN’ over ‘em.
I like both shoes in terms of design…but, honestly, the V takes it for me.
Progressive design, lightest basketball shoe, technology, STYLE…etc etc etc

So, with that said…
I’m more inclined to get the Kobe Chaos 5, since I already own the LeBron Red Carpet VII’s.
Which, as others have said, was the best LR CW, +NFW shoe from LeBron in the VII series to date.
Though, these Christmas ones may still be worthy of a purchase for in-door gameplay since I want to play in a pair of VII’s but don’t want to mess up my Red Carpets.
Will have to get a seat in HoH on Saturday to make up my mind.
PS – ice soles suck.
