This Saturday, January 23rd, 2010, Jordan Brand will unleash its first true retro of 2010 in the form of the Air Jordan 6 Retro for $150. We showcased this particular sneaker in our 10 Sneakers We’re Looking Forward to in 2010, and many of you agreed. The Air Jordan 6 has a lot of rich history behind it to say the least. For example, Michael Jordan won his first championship against the Los Angeles Lakers in this shoe. Although the original version featured infrared accents instead of the regular red, this is still a nice pickup for $150. Who else cannot wait until tomorrow? |

Went to footlocker this morning around 9, no one else was there. Easy cop. My pair was nice and fit true to size. (size 11) if you like them then just buy them. If you don’t like them then just pass on them. Simple as that.

Same here. I just woke back up from getting up early. Dude at FL let me come in this morning and cop before they opened. Like folks said, this was an easy cop cause there wasn’t anyone lined up. There was a little line at Finish Line but these might still sell out once more folks are aware that they dropped. They are sweet and they are in the closet though.

i am soooo happy i didn’t cop these early on vmv and waste $300. i saw bun rockin em at the goodie mob show in houston last week and i wasn’t impressed. went to hoh around 2:30 this afternoon to check em out up close, and i really wasn’t impressed. looks as though a lot of people agree cuz they hadn’t sold many at that point. easy pass, and in all honesty, i’d rather spend my money on the bred spizikes even with the odd blue accents and the copper foams. and if the black pair in the dmp is made with the same z quality suede as these, i might pass on that too.

sold out everywhere in 9.5 in the san francisco area. drove about 45 minutes away from the city to snag the last pair at a secluded footlocker. these r my first pair of 6′s, and i gotta say that i’m impressed. people be hatin’ on the suede, but it’s some high quality material, feeling like BUTTER. i recommend for ya’ll to go out and snag ‘em tomorrow if they still got ur size.
Went to my local FL @ 8 and only two ppl in front of me, kinda pissed since I got off work late and didn’t get much sleep and found out later stores still had my size at closing time. Oh well they fire! Quality is pretty good for JB nowadays and U really cant tell much difference between the suede & nubuck & the varsity & infrared. Thinking bout coppin’ a second pair to keep stocked in the closet since the icey parts are gonna yellow cuz I’m gonna rock da heck outta these!

First pickup of 2010
I was the 1st person 2 buy them outta Champs Sports.. I live in Akron, OH, we don’t get a lot of shxt, the lady told me that they only got 1 pair per size….but that’s just like the Space Jam release here… We only got about 50-60 pairs throughout 2 cities…..BUT AS FAR AS THE QUALITY OF THE VIs, I can’t complain, I cldnt afford the infrareds whn they 1st came out, but now I can, so I can settle for Varsity Red….
I’m looking at some of these comments, and I have to quote Flavor Flav and say “WOWWWWWWWW!!!” These may not be exactly the classik #6′s from the past, but these are still FRESH!!! I had my pair 2 weeks earlier than the release date and I broke plenty necks when I rocked them. My only complaint with Nike is that when they retro J’s, they should bring them back in the original form with the Nike Air on the back and keep them the way that they were originally released as, but other than that, these are a beast and look great in person.

I’m pleased with mine. I will say that my DMP 6s which I wear exhibit the usual problems associated with thenubuck Jordan 6s, which is the cracking and peeling nubuck uppers, but SURPRISINGLY the midsole is holding up very well after 5 years! Hopefully, with the suede upper, the upper in these new 6s should be more durable than nubuck and HOPEFULLY AS WELL *knocks on wood* the midsoles will hold up well without cracking up after a few years. Again, with all the new technology, Nike and Jordan Brand owe us sneakers where the midsoles dont crack and the paint doesnt flake off after a few wears and the uppers dont get unbglued after a couple years. Frankly, I want my Jordans and Nikes to be abloe to last for up to ten years and be able to withstand reasonable wear and tear!!

After reading the comments one thing is for certain, the majority of the time online hype for a sneaker far surpasses the retail madness people expect. On the net fresh kicks sell out fast at double the price because the entire world has accesess to them. I live in Miami and rolled through FL around 3pm after a wild Friday and they had a full size run of the retro 6; which look iller than a tight red dress on Zoe Saldana. So don’t believe the hype and save yourself some coin by hitting up your local spots on release dates…unless you live in Akron lol.
People will regret missing out on classic shoe. Man gonna go broke this yr motorsports, copper foam, eggplant, spizike, lebrons, and holiday XI which version they bring. On my must have list.

Jordan needs to go back to Nike the quality in materials is a downgrade its like getting a benz with cloth seats.Nike is a billion dollar company and JB is a million dollar company and we suffer as customers cause he puts out shoes we like but they are overpriced and then limited runs on certain shoes DMP were a good look space jams too but fusions and not getting the 3s was a mishap plus the red and black 12s in suede yuck stop putting out shoes so fast and concentrate on quality.
