Kicks On Court: K-Mart Brings Out the Nike Air Flightposite

Kicks On Court

Earlier this week, we showcased one of the infamous Nike Basketball retros in the form of the Nike Zoom Uptempo V. If you recall, players such as Jason Kidd made this sneaker popular. In addition, check out today’s Kicks On Court in which showcases yet another Nike retro basketball sneaker that was made popular by the aforementioned player among others.

In a losing effort against the Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Nuggets power forward Kenyon Martin laced up the infamous gold Nike Air Flightposite. This particular Flightposite colorway originally released in 1999, yet it retroed in 2008. In addition to Jason Kidd, players such as Kevin Garnett, Penny Hardaway and Tim Duncan wore this sneaker. Kicks On Court: Antonio Rolls the ‘Dyess’ in the Jordan Flipsyde

Kicks On Court

This year, the majority of the Jordan Brand NBA players have graced the hardwood wearing the Air Jordan 16.5 (see our Air Jordan 16.5 Performance Review) and the Jordan Hallowed Ground. However, check out today’s Kicks On Court to see Antonio McDyess, a non-Jordan Brand member, sporting a Jordan sneaker we never thought we’d see on the court.

In a losing effort against the Utah Jazz, San Antonio Spurs power forward Antonio McDyess laced up a newly-designed silhouette in the form of the Jordan Flipsyde. Its color scheme is obviously inspired by the Taxi Air Jordan 12. The Flipsyde is a sneaker we never thought we’d see on the hardwood seeing that it possesses a peculiar, outdoor type of feel to it. What are your thoughts on the Jordan Flipsyde model? Click here to view the Flipsyde plus other kicks worn by Tim Duncan, Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash and others.

Kicks On Court: Keith Bogans Laces Up Nike 1/2 Cent

Kicks On Court

Nike Basketball has been represented throughout our Kicks On Court in the form of the ever-so-popular Hyperize and Hypermax. We have also spotted some classic retros; however, last night, San Antonio Spurs guard Keith Bogans sported a Nike hybrid in which many of you undoubtedly love.

In a losing effort against the Dallas Mavericks, Keith Bogans laced up the silver colorway of the Nike 1/2 Cent. This comes as perfect timing seeing that the silver 1/2 Cents just released at select retailers on November 10th, 2009. It is safe to say this is the only thing flashy about a Spurs basketball game in a very long time. Is this the best sneaker seen in our Kicks On Court so far? Click here to view the silver 1/2 Cent plus more kicks worn by LeBron James, Joe Johnson, Dwyane Wade and others.

Nike Zoom Kobe V “Away” Detailed Pics

Nike Zoom Kobe V "Away" Detailed Pics

Of the two production-ready colorways of the Zoom Kobe V we’ve seen thus far, the black and purple “Away” make-up is without a doubt the more subtle look. The “Chaos,” which we got a very detailed look at yesterday, was originally hated by many for its wild colors, but a portion of those same readers had their opinion swayed by the high quality photos. Will these photos give the same result?

We get a great look at the shiny purple reptile print that covers the toe area and Swoosh. The same print is also used in black for the tongue and very tip of the toe. The laces are two-color with black and yellow, somewhat similar to those we saw on the Zoom Kobe IV “Carpe Diem.” We get a great look at the matte finish of the toe and Flywire mid-panel, which contrasts against the shiny finish used elsewhere on the shoe.

Kicks On Court: Who Owns the Best Zoom Uptempo V PE?

Kicks On Court

This year, Nike’s latest basketball models, such as the Hyperize, and the Hypermax, have overshadowed the classic retros. Specifically, we have really only seen one classic retro in the form of Delonte West’s Nike Air Max2 CB94. However, throughout our Kicks On Court this year, we have spotted two players sporting a classic Nike retor in PE colorways.

New Jersey Nets small forward Chris Douglas-Roberts and Oklahoma City Thunder starting point guard Russell Westbrook have both worn the Nike Zoom Uptempo V this year. Westbrook’s PE features a mainly black base with orange and blue accents, while Douglas-Roberts’s PE possesses a white/blue-red color scheme. Both colorways are very nice; however, which PE interests you the most? Click here to voice your opinion and look at other sneakers worn by LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Dwyane Wade and others.
