Nike Max A Lot

Nike Air Pippen Hybrid

Much like Scottie Pippen’s career, his signature shoes were long overshadowed by his legendary teammate. But for those who paid attention to the Air Pippen line, there were many top-notch signature models. And for this Summer, Nike has combined some of them to create this hybrid, the Nike Max A Lot.

You’ll immediately notice the Nike Air More Uptempo’s “AIR” large across the side, which for some reason has been done in Rastafarian colors. The midsole “stripe” stems from the Nike Air Pippen II. Again, it’s been done in a Rasta-inspired yellow and green gradient. Black patent leather finishes the upper, while a full length injected Phylon midsole also exposes a visible Air Max unit. The outsole’s grip pattern is also modeled after a number of Flight shoes. This model starts hitting retailers for $88 in multiple colorways in April.

Nike Hypermax Emeka Okafor PEs

Nike Hypermax Emeka Okafor PEs

Since coming to New Orleans, Emeka Okafor has performed pretty well for himself, as he averages a double-double. The Hornets have struggled, but Emeka can be thankful he’s got Chris Paul as a running mate.

For the beginning of the 2009-2010 season, Okafor has been seen wearing the Nike Hyperize, and now we get a closer look at two of his PEs. The shoes’ soles are almost identical to one another, with the exception of the heel on the “Away” pair being black and not purple, as it is on the “Home” pair. That white pair features purple accents throughout its upper, and utilizes Flywire in white with teal threading. The other pair compliments its black leather with matching Flywire and a purple liner and tongue. Check for Emeka to wear these the next time he’s featured in Kicks On Court.

By now, the news of Dwyane Wade’s move to Jordan Brand is old news. Having seen him train in a number of JB products as well as the Converse signature that never was, the off-season hoopla is over and the season has begun.

Dwyane sat down with Sarah Talalay of the Sun Sentinel to talk about the reasons behind his move to JB and some things to look forward to in the near future. Topics included his motivation for the change, to which Wade responded, “Converse is under the Nike umbrella, so it was a decision from Nike, not only to put me into the Jordan Brand, where my individual things could be seen more, but also to help the brand as it continues to grow. So it was a corporate decision, and I just reaped the benefits from it. I had a great team at Converse, but I think it was time to move on from both sides, so it was great.”

Answering questions about this upcoming season’s sneaker selection, Dwyane gives us a decisive answer on what he’ll wear, but you’ll have to check out the full interview yourself.
