As has been the case in each year past with great regularity, LeBron James‘ upcoming signature sneaker is one of the most anticipated releases of the year. This year, however, the excitement has been amplified. James is playing his first season as a Los Angeles Laker in the Nike LeBron 16. In addition, the silhouette’s debut colorway was redesigned by the talented women of Brandice Henderson-Daniel’s Harlem Fashion Row.
Designed by Jason Petrie — who’s worked on many of James’ signature sneakers — the Nike LeBron 16 will debut globally on September 20 in a “Fresh Bred” colorway. A time-honored combination of black and red, the shoe introduces Batteknit 2.0 — a reinforced knit fabrication meant to withstand the rigors of the game and aid in sartorial sensibility. Further, Air Max technology cushions the style to James’ liking as the shoe is largely built to his specifications.
To even greater effect, the design is uniquely James’ as his branding appears at the tongue and heel of the shoe. A detailed look at the Nike LeBron 16 “Fresh Bred” can be seen below. Expect the release on September.
