Nike Air Max Light “Tecmo Bo”

nike-am-light-tecmo-bo-1In honor of the achievements of Heisman Trophy Winner, 2-sport All-Star, and Nike Legend, Bo Jackson, there have been several drops this year to commemorate his legacy.  We saw the digitized Bo as a KC Royal last month on the Blazer High, but now it appears on a recent Air Max Light (aka the Air Max II) release.

The Air Max Light “Tecmo Bo” is a nice tribute to Bo’s accomplishments in 1989 (also when the original AM Light was released), but also a shout out to his video game franchises on NES and Game Boy.  The shoe itself is a clean and simple interpretation using the Kansas City colorway, featuring a white midsole, white leather and mesh upper, and royal blue to fill out the rest of the shoe.  The mudguard also has a contrasting, but subtle pixel print to add to the simplicity of the shoe.

The shoe is now available in select retail spots like Kix-Files and you can check out some more pics after the jump.

Nike Air Footscape

Nike Air FootscapeThe Nike Air Footscape has made a big return to the scene this summer with a few Tier Zero drops.  Hiroshi Fujiwara went to work on a couple colorups and the Hideout Woven Footscapes returned as part of the Livestrong Stages Collection.  To give everyone a shot at this uniquely designed sneaker, Nike has included two inline colorways that have just started to pop up at retailers.  Originally released in 1995, the Nike Air Footscape provided a one of a kind lacing system that went up the side of the shoes that was later used in a couple of other Nike products.

Both of these are available now at NikeStore for $110.

Nike Sportswear INSA Exhibition

Nike Sportswear INSA Exhibition

To help launch the Air Maxim 1, and the relaunch of the classic Air Max 1, Nike Sportswear teamed up with IAM1 and INSA for an incredible art installation throughout the streets of London.

The Nike Sportswear INSA Exhibition takes you through a brief history of the Air Max silhouette in the most literal sense. INSA said, “It started with Charlie Dark and the Run Dem Crew and got me thinking of how I see London and running. And I’m not really much of a runner, but I thought maybe my artwork would travel around the city. My art would do the running for me.”

The “Looking For Love In All The Wrong Places” exhibition runs from July 17th through July 26th in London.

Check out more photos of the installation by clicking here.
