Kicks On Court: Kobe IV Craze
Posted by George Kiel III | Nov 2, 2009|
Although the season just started a week ago, we are already starting to see the constant team sneakers for this year. Sneakers such as the Nike Hyperize, the adidas TS Cut Creator, the adidas TS Commander LT will be mainstays in Kicks On Court. However, to our surprise, a lot of players have been spotted in the Nike Zoom Kobe IV as well. Obviously, Kobe Bryant sported his fourth signature sneaker last night; yet, players such as Martell Webster, Demar Derozan and Goran Dragic all wore the Kobe IV in colorways that coincided with their respective jerseys. Besides the Kobe IV, we spotted Mike Bibby sporting the Jordan Jumpman Team Pro Low; he is the only JB member to wear this shoe this year. Air Jordan Retro Noctilucence Socks
Posted by Alex Kroviak | Oct 23, 2009
They didn’t call the man Air Jordan for no reason. Taking a scientific name for clouds that are visible at high altitudes, the Air Jordan Retro Noctilucence Socks pack pays tribute to some of Michael’s most popular sneakers ever. Going above and beyond just branding a sock and putting it in the appropriate colors, JB uses label specific to each shoe. For instance, the XI sock uses the signature sideways text, and the VI uses a label modeled after the lace lock. Other shoes include the XII “Taxi” and “Nubuck” and the XI “Concord” and “Space Jam,” among others. The II sock even gets the old school “wings” logo and the XII gets the heel logo form the “Taxi’s”. The socks, which will release sometime next year, even come in a special shoe box package covered in clouds. Click here to see the pics and weigh in on your favorite sock-shoe combination. |
“Where The Wilds Things Are” x Lakai Collection
Posted by Alex Kroviak | Oct 22, 2009
To celebrate the movie adaptation of one of the most popular children’s books of all time, Lakai has designed and released these two sneakers. One is a low top Pico and the other’s a Guy High. The Pico uses black suede for the toe and heel portions, with orange leather as a liner. The mid-panel features a graphic print of the Wild Things’ eyes from the original book artwork. The Guy High uses the same print on the heel flap, while grey suede is used for the rest of the uppers. The liner is blue, as well as the tongue label surround. Both sit on a white vulcanized midsole. Click here for pics of the collection. |
