Nike Dunk High SB “un-Futura”
Nike SB posts nearly all their goodies on their official site, but sometimes gems slip through the cracks and unfortunately out of our reach as well. This is the case for a Dunk High SB that has made its way to the UK skate shop Mischief. The colors are pretty basic, but unmistakably similar to the 2003 Dunk Low Futura - you might have heard of him |
?uest Love’s “Air Questo” Air Force 1
1WORLD is a collection of Air Force 1, created in partnership with global innovators in the fields of sport, music, art & design. Featuring 18 original styles, the collection will be released over the course of eight months and will see the Air Force 1 once again exploring new territory.
In August 2008, Nike Sportswear will release the Air Force 1 “Air Questo,” created for 1WORLD in partnership with Philadelphia’s Ahmir Thompson, also known as drummer, DJ, producer and innovator, ?uest Love “These Air Questo’s right here are an extension of my personality. Kind of all-over-the-place” said ?uest Love. “I just wanted to start off with a very loud statement, a sneaker that sort of has 12 exclamation points behind it. Something that just screams “Rahhhhrr” so you know, this is an extension of my personality. The inside (of the shoe) is of me drumming. Yeah, inside art is very important to me. Even though you’re the only person that sees it from a consumer standpoint but, I sorta know you put a lot of work into it as a designer based on how your shoe is designed on the sole.” “Working with ?uest was very inspiring” said Nike Sportswear Design Director, Jesse Leyva. “The creative process between sneaker design and his music creativity really made for a unique partnership.” ?uest Love’s Air Questo is the third Air Force 1 created in the US for 1WORLD, and joins Detroit forward Rasheed Wallace and artist KAWS as having had the chance to “get up on the AF1” as part of the 1WORLD collection. The Air Force 1 “Air Questo,” created for 1WORLD in partnership with Philadelphia’s ?uest Love will release at: Alife—New York (August 1st) |
Jordan Heads Documentary Wants You!
Calvan Fowler and crew have been hard at work on Jordan Heads, a documentary about MJ and the shoes, for a couple of years, but he just gave me the heads up that they are just about to wrap up filming. For the “last shot” of the film, Calvin wants to capture Jordan heads outside of the United Center.
One month from today, August 23rd, heads are invited to gather outside of the United Center by the Jordan statue. Everyone is asked to bring their favorite pair to hold up for the shot. Besides being a part of this movie, hopes are to also break a world record and have this moment documented in the Guinness Book of World Records. Please be prompt at 10AM the day of the shoot as a large crowd is expected. A full flyer is posted after the jump complete with hotel information for heads like myself who will be traveling from out of state. |
Clae Russell High “Gravel Grey”
Clae has just posted select pieces of their fall lineup in their online shop. There are many great shoes in this collection, but our hands down favorite is the Russell High in the Gravel color. Many Jordan heads may dub these as “cool grey” but whatever you want to call them, you can’t go wrong with the solid “gravel grey” upper with patent leather touches and a leather lined interior. Heads up from Daily Drop. |
Nike SB Dunk High “Shoe Goo”
Overseas the “Shoe Goo” Dunk Highs have popped up at a few locations, but it looks like we are going to have to wait a while for this release. This premium SB is said to release in September Stateside and in Europe.
The sole of the dunk is a semi-translucent material that resembles the sticky clear cement that comes out the metal tube ready to fix any destroyed shoe. Shoe Goo has long been a tool of repair for the separation of a shoe’s sole from the upper courtesy of grip tape. We will keep you posted with any further updates we receive about this sneaker. Supra NS Fall 2008 Collection
Following up our preview of the upcoming Supra NS Fall lineup, we have some detailed shots of each sneaker in the lineup. While the Skytops tend to steal the attention, one shouldn’t overlook the Cuban or Strapped.
The Skytops will hit retailers before the rest of the collection reaching retail doors as soon as next week with the Cuban, Strapped, and Indy arriving to retailers in mid-August. Get a good look at the line after the jump. Photos from HypeBeast. |
Air Jordan 3 Black/Cement Grey CDP
The Black/Red Jordan 4 made its return over the weekend for the first time since its first retro release in 1999, but there is another retro return that is building just as much hype. The Black/Cement Grey Air Jordan 3 was last seen in August of 2001 and the 7 years since its release has been far too long for many. Resale prices have pushed a deadstock pair from ‘01 far out of the affordable range making the Jordan 3/20 Countdown Package one of the most anticipated.
One thing that will be noticeably different from the 2008 CDP Air Jordan 3 and the 2001 retro version is the logo on the heel tab of the shoe. The infamous “NIKE AIR” made its last appearance on the back of the Black/Cement Grey Jordan 3 and will be replaced with the Jumpman and “AIR” instead. Osneaker has once again hooked us up with some detailed shots of this upcoming release. They have a few pairs way ahead of the scheduled release in October. |
